I'm still mapping out my build. Just spent $1250NZ on transmission work (ouch) Has anyone made some good results using a TD04-19T turbo? What can these max out to?
Would TD04-19T, sti pink injectors, decat exhaust, K&N drop in air filter, fuel pump, works regulator, TMIC steel piping and a reflash get anything decent?

I've got a TD04-10t and an evo 8 MR cam, 17PSI of boost, everything else stock.

It made 162HP (120kw) ATW.

The factory exhaust seems to be a massive limitation and I need a tune bad

Isn't that figure a bit low for that kind of boost levels?

for 19t depend on who/what was further tuning the turbo unit...can be ranging from around 250whp to 280whp max

td04-10T? seems like too small for 2.0 engine?

Yeah that was a typo - it's a TD04-19T

That power figure was using the stock factory tune, boost is set using a boost tee. I have one of the Airtrek that made 17PSI from factory (there seems to be two tunes out there)


Considering the fuel economy I get (10L/100KM combined) I can't imagine that its running super rich or anything.

A friend with an Airtrek was making 142kw ATW with only a tune and a 3inch turboback.

probably stock exhaust was just too restrictive...

try get straighter flow 2.5" or 3" turboback exhaust....


and i would say dont use that boost T...get proper boost control from ecu reflash/tune
