old cars no...new cars yes.

5million cars older than 10 years old here will be doomed with this ruling.

TS...pls make this a poll.

desmond...try searching around for gearboxes...its cheaper to get a 2nd hand unit rather than recond it...and the warranty they give is also quite measly. i know 1 guy who had an w210 n had changed his gearbox 4 times in the course of 560k millage...the recond one also failed about same time as the 2nd hand unit..

own experience...distributors...my dizzy was a recond unit n it failed less than 5 months after first bought. have the receipt to prove it. 2nd hand from halfcut can get for cheapest rm450...recond costed me rm500(include install n on the road help)

if no used parts, it'll be like what danz said. car theft will increase tremendously. also, alot of ppl will suffer, like me. honda used parts also already so expensive, imagine brand new parts? overkill man...

with the used parts being banned....are they gonna banned tax on cars so that people would be able to buy cheaper cars or atleast new car parts cheaper...??hehehe...
i doubt it, right...??
i'm sure some ppl whose daring enough would get the idea to smuggle some parts...
would this be a good opportunity for some ppl to make money..?? ka ching...
just some random thoughts being thrown around here....:D

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

Recently bought a car with lots of rust in the undercarriage. :banghead:

Even the mechanical parts are rusty....

Can anyone give advice on how to deal with this situation I am facing?

Can I just spray or paint a coating of anti rust paint onto it?

Do I need to scrape the rust first or how?

Is the canned anti rust spray advisable to be used?

Can the famous plasti-dip be used for this purpose?

Thanks in advance for all opinions, comments & advices :wavey:
