yeah that IS alot of money...

I hear my friend's story... The fella didn't post his number on the sale thread he posted...only his email account...in order to get his number...the buyer needs to email him and the seller with give the buyer his number.don't trust this kinda ppl cause nowadays new numbers so cheap...haha... every new email he receive he can give new number.
^at least I know this is the kinda person we should be aware off.

apart from that...I really have no idea...since I don't surf in ebay. does ebay offer trader ratings system like in zth??

its best if u can adjust for COD ( cash on delivery ) - either face to face transaction at selected locations or escrow ... and also its better to use credit card while purchasing online cuz credit card companies take online fraud issue seriously ( dunno wheter this applies in msia .. lol )

btw heres a link of the all famous powerbook prank ... its about a guy who decided to pull back a prank on this ebay scammer using the most basic of scams ...

Just use paypal or a good credit card like Citibank. If you have a problem with the transaction just call your bank up or Paypal and they will reverse the charge for you. simple solution :)

You can do that but IF the seller can proove that he actually sent the items to you, you will be charged again plus a penalty for faking a dispute. Up to you if you want to do that la, 1 day people will make a police report against you.

I'd personally do only up to RM100 for non face to face items, though I've not done it before. So far, I only did RM30 for non face to face transactions. On the net, sorry, I don't trust nobody. And to hell with trader ratings. I don't trust that too.
