Buy a sec hand Jap car if it's value for money compared to the retail price.
I personally would want to go for sec hand car because it's without warranty
and also they are wayyy cheaper than new ones although 'warranty' provide you some assurance.
Without warranty means mods! But of course if it's a major problem, I'm doomed.
Cerato looks good. It's not mainstream. But Kia's aftersales and spare parts are unknown!

New car: You take the hit of depreciation.
Used car: The seller took the hit of depreciation, you take the hit of wear and tear.

Kia Forte RM97k, 2012 car selling 77k, that's a hit of 20% in 1 year.
Let's say the Kia Cerato RM118k, taking a hit of 20% in 1 year, means the next year your car worth RM94k

Toyota Altis, used car going for RM115k year 2012, for the 2L version. New price is 131k. That's 16k difference or 12% hit. And the best part? They sell like hot cakes. You can try searching used car classifieds for Altis that is more than 2 weeks old, try calling and most likely the car is sold.

Spare parts? Toyota is plenty and cheap, and you have Taiwan option and kereta potong option.

To be very frank with you, the cars worth buying is:
Myvi, Alza
Vios
Lanspira - bargain of the century
any UMW Toyota except for Avanza and Fortuner.

For the same price of a brand new Kia Cerato 2L (118k), I rather buy a 2.0L Honda Accord 2012. Still got warranty, it is a bigger car, it is a Honda, got VTEC, and its more comfortable.

Innova is good but its the sibling of Fortuner and Avanze (Indonesia R&D).

You never state 1.6 or 2.0, so I assume 2.0.

1.6 lagi don't buy. Better you buy Nissan Almera new car, or Honda Civic 2012 for RM100k.

Not sure you really want to ask for logical, factual observations or just want people to support you to buy the Kia Cerato.

In my opinion the price for Cerato is steep since it is locally assembled (CKD) at Gurun, Kedah.

Hmm, Kia=Korea + VW just like Proton=Malaysia+Mitusbishi, Toyota+Isuzu, Honda+Acura etc..

Depends on your own, if you buying a car and wanna drive it for a long time, is better to get some cheaper and spareparts available
models.

If you don't really care about the pricy service maintainance, you can go for whatever car you like, drive for showing off to client to prove that you're trusted in marketing if your job needed to, sell it after 3 years and you won't loss alot for the car's market price.

Just my personal opinion, cause i really met up with some boss that request me to buy some luxury car last time..

Kia? Luxury car? Trusted in marketing?

I wouldn't trust the judgement of a person who buys a Kia.

Most people who goes for Korean cars aims for the looks and some small bits of new tech stuffs there like reverse camera, touch screen entertainment system, etc...

About resale value and FC, most of them probably are being ignorant about it...

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

Just bought a brand spanking new Kelisa Limited Edition. During the run-in process, I notice the car timing will go up 2000rpm(highest) to 0750rpm(lowest). This happens when u want to stop the car at traffic lights or sometimes when u depress the clutch when slowing down to change gear.

Now after servicing it at 1000km, it is still like that loh..ask the pomen there at Perodua said its like that one, still new was the reason given.

Wanna check is it true or not that this will clear out...
