same as mine...just converted my 1.3 satria(lately im losing to much fuel like hell) to 4g91(injection).now there all on stabil and the picked ups goin better and top also not bad but i still got confuced to fit it with my car.which means,gear box part..should i change it to mivecs or else.sum said,1.5s better? biaserlaa,tamak la katakan. :biggrin:

cam nie la senang cakap...

kalau korang modal beso... kire duit tu dah manyak sangat lebih, dan korg bley letak kete korg (ader 2nd transpot) baru aku advise untuk tuka henjin.

sebab ape aku g tau tu... nie dari pengalaman yg aku lalui sendiri la... aku guna kete lancer lama, sebelom nie aku pakai 4g12 (1.4 cc). aku blasah sampai tahap cipan hingga aku nyer henjin tu dah leak. head gasket dah baka, crank shaft bering hancor. crank shaft bearing&oil seal (kat flywheel) pecah. kire kalau aku nak repair balik henjin aku, aku kene buat mejor overhaul.

so aku kenal ngan uncle fred. aku amek henjin lantai dari halfcut kawan dia. murah jer rege henjin tu (henjin lantai w/o gearbox, carburetor summo).

time tu buget aku rendah. aku buget siap pasang kalau bley < dari 1500. tapi untuk pengetahuan korg, kurang baik amek engine halfcut teruk pasang kat kete. sekurang² kene buat top. untuk safety. tapi aku idak. aku terus pasang & guna. lepas tu satu-satu masalah aku kene. lepas satu barang aku tuka, satu barang lagi aku tuka. bukan aku nak kata engine yg uncle fred jual tu tak ok... engine tu very good condition. tapi iyer la, mana kite tau henjin tu dah braper lama terletak. tu pasal sepatutnyer kene buat dulu kalau nak sedap dan selamat.

lagi satu, apa yg aku leh katakan. sebenarnya guna henjin 4g91 carb bukan la semudah yg korg pikirkan. sebenarnya carburetor ngan distributor dia korg tak leh guna yg stock punyer. 4g91 carb ader computer control untuk control power band dia. kat carb dia jer ader 4, 5 pasang wire. kalau korg tak caya aku leh tunjuk carb aku. aku sendiri pon dlm proses nak try cari ecu aper yg bley kawal dia. lagi pon, sebenarnya 4g91 bukan la engine untuk peformance seperti yg korg pk kan. henjin tu dibuat untuk fuel economi + a little bit power from dohc.

cam kete aku, terpaksa guna distributor dari henjin proton mega valve. dan aku guna balik carb henjin lama aku. untuk pengetahuan korg, carb biasa ader 5 stage, carb nie ader 6 atau 7 stage. biler korg pasang carb biasa, peformance dia tak la se smooth stock nyer carb. dan minyak agaks mentadarah. tapi power memang tok sah cite. cuma yg tak best tu... biler pakai carb biasa, low rev berat macam sial.

dan untuk pengetahuan korg, overall aku dah spend dah dekat rm2500 termasuk engine componen yg aku terpaksa beli. dengan kos cam tu, aku dah bley sapu rb20det dah. even lebih senang nak transpan kat kete aku.

kalau di kira balik. kalau aku buat balik henjin lama aku + pnp + full balancing + tuka inner part (peformance) + custom turbo kit aku rasa aku leh dapatkan kurang dari RM2500 dan peformance dia for sure better then henjin aku skarang. dan terus terang aku kata... antara 4g12 aku ngan 4g91 aku nie... 4g12 even lebih responsive masa low rpm. tapi untuk higher rpm, memang henjin 4g91 lebih best.

lagi satu 4g9x henjin is modular engine. so that ada barang dlm 4g91, 92 or 93 boleh digunakan. kalau 4g91 stock memang tak leh blah. dah la gitu, power band datang lambat, around 3000rpm, dan ada yg sampai pada 4500rpm. cam kete aku dia datang antara 2.8rpm bergantung pada gear. so kebanyakan pengguna 4g91 perlu upgrade engine componen dia supaya bley blah cepat dan tambah power. bende biasa yg dorg buat, tuka head cam dari 4g91 kepada 4g93 (NA - GTi), trottle body, extraktor, high compression piston, bla bla bla...

ini pon sebenarnya henjin aku blom settel lagi masalah nyer... time waterpump rosak ari tu, head gasket aku dah terbakar. takkan nak tuka head gasket jer kan. kalau dah bukak head, baik buat top overhaul + aku ingat nak PnP skali. tapi tu ar, aku tak der masa nak barai henjin aku. sebab bley dikatakan 2 atau 3 hari skali aku akan guna kete.

sowi ar beb.. aku tulis panjang sangat dah nie... dlm bm plaks tu... sowi to all forumer.

-yo lancer terabo...thanks alot for ya advice.nice to heard from you.i heard once..from 4g91 custom rojak one by installed the N/A or gti stuff like cam and headblock.i think it quit usefull for performace car isnt it?
-but i also heard by sumone that theres a car using 4g91 engine and also got weber inside but the cars not really in xcellent performance.and yess..just the fuel running like shit.
-friend of mine using satria 1.6 mivec had problem with sumone using satria also with 4g91,rojak gti.boleh lagi mamat tu main cucuk cucuk kat belakang.macam pelik kan?

if compare to 1.3 or 1.5 wira
4G91 sure make sikit lebih daripade 1.3 and 1.5 lah
let say my last 1.3 wira can get RM 10 for 95KM
now 4G91 RM 10 only get 85KM

okeh... we can say like this la... norm efi manual engine can go 50 about 350km - 450km. my engine 4g91 carb, only can go about 280km - 320km in kl, and about 380km - 430km on long distance. both efi and carb oso got same reading.

summo, if u rojak yer engine with 1.3 gearbox (proton) or lighten flywheel (too much), change big bore trottle body, upgrade fuel system, ISC rosak, FICS rosak, miss tune, bla bla bla... FC oso can teruk like hell. 1 of my friend only got 230km for RM 50.

anybd knw how to upgrade 4G91 arr..
I only know bout Large TB, Down pipe 1.8", 93 Adj cam plly, and clutch with lgth flywheel.. I already tapau 1.6 and wanna tapau stock Gti..
Anybd got idea for injector and Ecu upgrade or gearbox.. Help me arr friend..

try to get 93 cam shaft to put in .... :D

anyway, 4G91 this engine is not a performance engine ..
it just design for economy drive small capacity engine.

advance ur ignition timming a bit ..laa, can help on pick up, but too advance can cause Idling not smooth :D.

want to make it fast ?? sell of ur 4G91 and go to ......... (depand on ur $$$$$$ :D)

u get 1.6 high compression yet pay for 1.5 road tax...

ur 93 adjustable cam pulley means the cam pulley onli o wit the 93 cam n adjustable pulleys?

if u wan 2 tapau GTi easily..NOS>..wakakakkaa
