Best way is NOT TO INSTALL ANY THING WATSOEVER .
I certainly agree with you there for my personal preferences. However, although that is the most prudent thing to do, it is not always possible that people have to be forced to curtail their most basic rights and live life in a certain way on account of crime. It is certainly not the 'Best' way to many people.
You can make an argument that anything worthy can be a potential for attracting too much attention and on that basis, perhaps women should not dress sexily because they could get raped, or BlackHowling should not drive his expensive Supra because someone might kidnap him for ransom, etc etc.
To some folks with an alternate perspective, that's just not the way to live. Not everyone wants a 'sleeper' for a performance car. I happen to like 'sleeper' because I like the anonymity that it brings, but there are folks also who like to pimp their rides and jazz it up with Defi Gauges, boost meters, bodykits and all the other 'bling, bells and whistles' to give the car a character that the owner can be proud of.
In short, I don't have any answers and it is sad to see car crimes and crimes in general getting so bad in this country. All of you take care out there.
