What non-V6 engine suits FTO?

Just wondering what sort of engine can go into a FTO if i wish to drop off the existing V6 engine. any 4cyl engine to match?

bro, u must understand why u wanna change engine 1st. If u think ur current engine is not powerfull enaugh, there is a few way u can improve it. such as like bolt on turbo, using the 6A12TT turbokit, or VR6 engine (the super galant Vr4, 2.5l twinturbo v6) or perhaps Evo4-6 engine.

now, u must remmeber that ur engine origin is V6 mounting. changing into 4 in-line means some mounting mod have to be done. some minor one.

4 in-line mivec? wahahha, bro.. those mivec only got 1.6l and its hybird to 1.8l max. downgrading frm 2.0l to 1.8l? u will be crying. Its the torque figure... guess u r just starting to mod car huh?

yes, perdana n fto engine are same, both call 6a12, perdana no mivec, and mounting is different side, perdana design is same as evo 1,2,3, wira
fto hv 4 model.
GP Version R, GPX MIVEC, GR and GS

1) 6a12 mivec 200hp / 20.4torque
2) 6a12 non-mivec 180hp / 19.5torque
3) 4g93 1800cc 125hp / 16.5torque

fto, can convert 4,5,6 by dont need modified anything, for evo7, need to modified the lower mounting a little bit and also the right mounting that is near the timing belt.
the difficult thing is only the wiring, e4,5,6, wiring are more easy to fix.

but do take note also perdana engine mounting position is diff frm FTO. that's why Waja plp can only use FTO engine but not Perdana engine

put in 4G93 sohc engine first , which is come from FTO GS version one , then upgrade to mivec head, wiring and ecu + sub ecu .. another faster car is coming ... :D

this kind of mod, u will enjoy superb handling

bro normality78, thanx for the comments. not that this is my 1st day doing modifications, juz wanna know what options do i have for it. the current engine (V6-mivec) severely broke down and needed a replacement. quite happy with the V6-mivec though. But definitely i'll give turbo engines a slip.
