Hello frens,

need some info, advise, help in:-

Turbocharging my K20A3 Honda Civic ET/ES

- Garrett or Greddy???
- I wanna maintain Auto Tranny... n e advise???
- Boost = 0.7 bar
- do i need to change my piston??? can i maintain the old piston???
- what else do i need to do???

With Turbo, ur auto might be enuf to wallop the white horse loh.
 
try to change to a dc5 type r head and piston first la..and used a good clutch for ur auto gear box..turbo no doubt its easy but its a bit expensive la..

i think better put spcharge, fr Blist. powerfull & can pretend like normal..........:biggrin:
 
no doubt there are kits available to boost the K-series, but i read in honda tuning that the turbo kit for the k-series was the hardest to develop as the turbin had to be located behind near the firewall (u know laa how k-series is configured right?), not like the conventional up in the front near the chassis support frame ...
 
Depending on my budget for turbocharging my ep3, here are the mods available, it might suit ur k20a3, guess its not much difference with the k20a ehhe.

Budget setup :-
1)ARC intercooler : RM2500
2)Trust T67 Turbo : RM2400
3)Crower ConRod : RM1500
4)3s/2j Piston : RM300-500/RM1100(new)
5)Wastegate and BOV : RM1000
6)Banana custom : RM1000-1500
7)Aluminium Piping : ?? (anyone suggest where do cheap?)
8)Fuel Regulator : RM200
9)use back stock ecu / get vafc/e-manage or any piggyback.
Boost 1bar to 1.2bar.

Rich Man setup :-
1)ARC intercooler : RM2500
2)Crower Conrod : RM1500
3)Trust T67 Turbo : RM2400 / Garrett 3030/28 Ballbearing Turbo = RM3000++
4)J.E Piston 8.5/9.0 Compression : RM2200
5)Wastegate + BoV : RM1300
6)Banana Custom : RM1000-1500
7)Aluminium Piping : ??
8)Microtech LTX-10s : RM3200 / Hondata K-Pro RM3800
9)Toda Spec C Camshaft(250-305 duration) valvespring + retainers + cam pulley : RM7000.

Boost 1bar to 1.5bar. can reach higher if done properly.

use Crower conrods, more reliable. i heard infinite intercoolers are good and value for money, if u were to get a nice evo3 intercooler at rm900, i rather you get a bigger infinite intercooler at rm1100 =D
use microtech using tbs setting rather than map setting its stronger and more powerful =D

Rather reasonable leh.... Change conrod, piston, fuel pump and etc... should be ok
 
17K for those setup i dont think it's worth for ur money .. might consider the real K20A instead turbocharging it ..
