Shell’s ‘Race to Abu Dhabi F1’ came to an end at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) with three grand prize winners selected that will get an all expenses paid trip to catch the Abu Dhabi Formula One race in November.
The winners are Norwajunizam bin Abdul Wahab from Kuala Lumpur, Tham Chon Leong from Penang and Haidzir bin Mohd Yusof from Selangor. The three of them defeated 29 other contestants in a series of skills and knowledge-based challenges to claim the grand prize.

Todays contest offers an opportunity to Shell V-Power 97 Cash Contest winners to win a lifetime experience as witness of an F1 race on one of the most advanced race tracks in the world,” said Leslie Ng, Retail National Sales Manager for Shell Malaysia Trading.
The wop weekly prize winners of the weekly contest were assembled at SIC to compete in the ‘Race to Abu Dhabi F1.’ The 32 participants were then whittled down to just six through a trivia session. Once the top six were chosen, it was on to a series of mental and physical tasks that tested their endurance, navigational skills, knowledge of Formula One, the Ferrari Formula One team and the Yas Marian Circuit as well as the basic skills in operating a car and handling its response.
After being declared the winners, the trio were ecstatic as they received the mock cheques for their prizes. Apart from being given the full VIP treatment for the whole race weekend, the trio will also get to experience the Ferrari World Theme Park that will open in Abu Dhabi later this month.
