IT Asset Management Specialist
Job Overview
This role will assist in the Software License Compliance activities through analysis and management of internal and external compliance activities.
This role needs to be sufficiently senior to represent the Bank in external Vendor Compliance reviews and audits.
Skills required
Must have
License Management skills: Must have experience of managing software licensing of a complex product (e.g. Oracle, IBM or Microsoft)
Analysis skills: Able to analyse complex licensing data to establish our Compliance
Communication skills: Must be able to make high-level presentations to stakeholders
Influencing skills: Must be able to influence vendor behaviour (where possible) in an audit situation
Experience of interpreting Software Contracts from a Software Licensing perspective
Able to understand technical architecture/configuration and how this relates to Licensing T’s and C’s
Attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy of output
Proven track record of quality deliverables within tight schedules
Ability to create and lead a team of software analysts.

Experience of software licensing T’s and C’s and the potential complexity therein
Experience of banking business and operations
Key Responsibilities
Project Manage software compliance/audit activities
Manage external vendor software audits from end to end and act as primary liaison point:
Audit Preparation – agree audit methodology with vendor, obtain usage and entitlement data to establish position, drive clean up activities
Audit Execution – manage on site activities bringing in appropriate technical expertise as required
Audit Follow Up – Follow up on questions/actions from Audit and apply any lessons learned. Ensure ongoing sound management
Manage internal compliance reviews from end to end. Obtain usage and entitlement data to establish position, drive clean up activities. Ensure ongoing sound management
Drive actions across the different internal streams to support the above
Drive transition of Compliance activities into BAU operational group
Provide accurate and timely management summaries of progress to internal stakeholders as required
Manage and mitigate Licensing risks and issues
Document license management issues so that processes can be improved
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be assessed on their experience and aptitude in the following areas.
Experience of Software licensing
Strong writing and communication skills
Must be able to work independently and good self starter
Able to organise and prioritise work on a daily basis.
