hello all , can anyone tell me about the different of camshaft for 4G63 family,
1. Vr4
2. Vr4 Rs
3. Evo
4. Evo2
5 Evo3

I have read and heard many rumors, but not know the different about the degree and high low size of the cams.pls help.

im using Vr4 rs stock engine with TD05h 20g. now my car in workshop for head maintenance(PnP,replace valve seal,grind valve,metal gasket etc) should i change my vr4rs camshaft to evo3 camshaft??
some said it really lightweight ,cam degree difference and high then others.
is it good to use in vr4 rs which the intake is bigger than evo3?
pls advice...

if u r gonna pay n buy the cams , i would say anything above rm100 ask the seller to go fly kite , if its lower than tht , just buy it and fit it in , its very minimal changes in degree , bt for rm100 it will be worthit , if more, just a waste of money, most to most few hp gain only

bro, rm200 is ok if its evo camshafts. good cheap upgrade to ur car. can really feel the difference. try it n feel it for urself. but dont expect too much cos its still stock cams...

just use ur complete vr4 head, mirage eci multi intake manifold, evo camshafts, evo exhaust manifold. good stock setup proven by champions, legal n illegal hehehehe...

i want to take the e3 cams mentioned and want to see the difference 1s.
then will decide to take it or leave it.
some said its really good, some said not worth, i had see all evo cams pics @ terato, and want to see the evo cams mentioned by my friends. If really E3, i will go,if not - no...

there is an evo8 cam for sale in this forum , bt price is ridiculous
for that price top up a lil bit u can get Brian Crower cams
 
any 2G 4G63T cams (doesnt matter evo 1/2/3 as long as not RVR) will be an improvement over ur stock vr4 cams...

an extra tip for u: when doing head maintenance, NEVER EVER use valves from spare part shop (those with MADE IN JAPAN stamped on it). if ur OEM valves bent, go find used OEM valves. they are tons better than new non OEM valves.

broke my piston as well... lucky no damage to the cylinder wall...
 
woo..what happen to the valve actually?
is it melting bro?
some said we can used any of 4G6# family valve, ex: 4g67 NA, is it ok?
all size and colour is same,marking is same, but i dunno its material made of.

another tip:
the ends of the cams (there are 2 ends - campulley side n cam angle sensor side).
there will be markings for evo cams on the cam angle sensor end. for vr4 cams, no markings.

some pomen said, evo 3 cams cannot be reconize by the markings B with dot,
i dont know how far the truth. huhu
