Elmo hates Proton, but has to drive one

The sad thing is there is no other car except our national manufacturer that fits into budget for size, engine capacity and price.

you'll be surprised to find some pretty decent deals with used cars with a budget of a new proton. especially continentals.

if you must get a new car, then it's better to push your budget a little higher to get a vios.

elmo, u don scare proton sue u afterward like what that guy who blog about his useless , problematic P2 that are reported in the TheStar.

But ne way...Proton sux, it good only for transplant to Mitsu engine...kakaka

well not worried, because when i called the i-care service, they sort of didn't want to solve this til i told them i'm gona put it on internet, so ms leena said she can't stop me and i can do it if i wanted.
anyway, its the truth, keep it quiet for what?
let more people suffer and get treated like crap?

evo3: yeah think so too, good for modding...as a base car.

boggysv: if i hav the cash, i mean my parents, i guess we wouldn't hav gotten the Gen2, its their money so i hav to think about it too.

you guys should see the proton boys repair and service cars at the SC. They are worst bunch of monkeys in the whole wide world. Their trademark is to drive customers' cars like there is no tomrw. They drive thru road humps like nobody business.....

pocroc: me upgraded frm a tiara to this, so sorta like the stock handling...

from now on, think many times over before buying a Proton.
even the new Waja executive interior sucks...plasticky

until now they still gt problem wif power window????? haih... hopeless car manufacturer in the world... btw sorry for wat happen to ur car... n fxxk the plotong...

now we only know ma.. tht's y my family don use plotong anymore oredi.. 2nd hand honda, toyota is a better choice...

not easy la .. to hate someting and not use it.. its cheaper then most cars out there in the market.. which leaves most people choiceless when it comes to buying cars at that sort of price.. they've been in the industry for quite some time now.. and yet they cannot produce better quality cars.. ok la.. no need say the cars la.. at least improve the after sales service/support la.. send car for service.. simply trash ppls car.. sometimes got missing parts or swapped parts.. wtf man..

if toyota's / honda's / mitsu's / nissan's and maybe some conti makes are at the same price range as proton do you think anybody would buy them? :P

y nobody choose P2 since p1 is bad ??!

last time p2 just produce small ca but now myV is not bad from interior till engine.

Way back from 2001 till 2003, I was ranting like hell in autoworld about my ex-What A Junk Automobile (WAJA). I was "hammered" and "nailed" worst than Jesus. Time had finally told on Waja and those who burn me. They are no where to be seen but some new nicks do appear once in a while, trying to toment me. Hehehehehe... it's their loss, not mine.
Sigh... If only the newbies in that Waja forum and those Proton Wannabes knows what evil and gremlins are lurking in those Protons made from yr 2000 onwards.

2nd hand cars. I just sold my 1989 Sentra 1.5A for RM7K. I bought it 3 yrs ago at RM12K. It served us very well and even took us to Ipoh and Penang. It's replacement is a 1996 Ford Telstar 2.0A, GT8P engine. Only RM25K. I've just checked on the price of the timing belt, tensioner bearing and the oil seals. It's just a little over RM150.

So, let's join hands together and say...

TAK NAK to Proton!!! :baring_teeth:

Note:
Waja 1.6A, Feb 1st 2001 @ RM63K
Sold in Mar 2003 to a 2nd hand dealer @ RM50K

I don't see how it can be 'normal' for things to get spoilt after just a few months. This after claims that Proton puts a lot of emphasis into QC.

I used to own a brand new Waja and sent it to the service centre once. When I got it back, my lights didn't work. Once bitten, twice shy. Never went back after. Rather pay for my service than to face their incompetence. The hassle to get the car serviced and repaired there for free is just not worth it. Proton is indeed a great reflection of her home country.

My ex-Waja had 4 failed power windows in 2 yrs and a broken door handle, not to mention other gremlins. :baring_teeth:
Have you not notice many Wajas on the road have black coloured door handles? Owners must have got fed up and just don't bother painting it. :retarded:

in fact i think gen2 is superbly piece of art from the engineering,
god damn it, since they sell the car so cheap, of coz they still wanna earn the parts n service money.

let think bout this,
cheap car + more repairs = est 50+ k rm
slightly expensive used jap car + less repair = est 50k too.

i rather drive an older car n less headache.....
gen2 is greatly constructed as to earn from the parts.

me thinks proton might be trying to learn something from bill gates and the frequent update required microsoft

a friend told me gen2 was constructed form the wheels up for "superb handling" seems like they forgot to think about the interior

have u guys seen the "happening" pasar malam rm5 clock on the gen2 dashboard?
i think the engineers forgot bout it till the last minute and hand a last minute brainstorm before decidind to go for the nearest pasar malam, buy a cheap clock and bang it into the dashboard....
and there's so much plastic in the interior that McFarlane toys will be humiliated...
