Can Home HIFI stuff install and play them in car?
A lot of Home Hifi's speakers are in 8 ohm...can it use it for ICE?
What should modify or change?

Suddenly curious about it...

yes can play in car, quite common....

only thing to consider is the rated power from the amps will be less.

since car amp usually rated at 4ohm, when it is connected to 8ohm speaker, the power will be half, unless stated differently by the amp manufacturer.

so...a 50Wx2 amp when connected to 8ohm speaker will give you 25W x 2 only.

prolly wont last as long as specific car audio system...

home hifi speaker construction isnt design to withstand weather. so higher humidity level, heat & dampness will deteriorate the speakers faster than designated car audio speakers.

anyway, hifi speakers gives out too wide of a range as they're designed to be in a room, not car cabin

very very very acoustically challenged. unless you wanna use home hifi speaker to rojak into ur car just for the sake of sound, not to enjoy the music

How about the battery power? no need to change invertor or alternator??

u dont need to change the DC to AC as ur still using car audio amps...unless u wanna use hifi amp in ur car...

it'll only worsen the quality anyway....it isnt built for car

y not go for brands like tru hammer or steg or stuff like that?

nope...speakers dont need direct power. they get their signal from the amp

speakers are usually rated on 4-8ohms so u can use generally all types of amps that is also rated 4-8ohms

sound quality will differ with regards to power from the amp la, like i said earlier, if the 8 ohm tweeter power rating is 50W rms, u will need a 100W rms car amplifier, since car amps are rated at 4ohm.

the other problem will be when u use passive crossovers that was not meant for 8ohm speakers. since car speakers are usually rated at 4ohm, so the capacitor and coils in the passive xover will give different high pass and lowpass frequencies, when they are connected to 8ohm. so in this way the SQ will usually be not as good.

alo abang waihung... the drivers u heard in my car is 8ohm la.... :burnout:

i think its pretty common now that people use home audio stuff in the car...

as for the duration question... well... wait till mine have problem then i can tell whether that is true or not... but so far.. never heard of any problem... i've came across some car speaker will deteorate first before home-audio's...

cheers...
