Accord: RPM is Higher than Normal

Hi friends,

I have Honda Accord 2.0 Auto year 1996(SR4) and i notice that especially
when i'm cruising the RPM is higher than normal. My RPM at 100 km/h
reaches 2.8 and at times 3. Hitting a speed of 120 km/h the RPM edges near
the 3.3 to 3.4 mark. I find this relatively high for a 2.0 car. Checked w
my mechanic and he told me from the gear change ratio it seems like its
not the original gearbox which may have been changed by the prev owner.
What do you guys think? Hope to hear from you.

Thanks for the feedback, my apologies, ur right its SV4 :)...I'm sorry i was unable to make it for the Accord gathering...I'm from Seremban and infact seldom nowdays come down to KL..Anyways thanks for your help :)
