Honda just released the CRZ for Japan market, its 1.5 iVTEC + IMA (electric motor) ,

Petrol engine : 114hp / 145Nm torque
IMA motor : 14.8 hp / 78Nm torque

Comes in 6MT & CVT transmission..
for more info go to Hondaƒz[ƒ€ƒy[ƒW : –{“c‹ZŒ¤H‹ÆŠ”Ž®‰ïŽÐ (Japanese)

I might not be a type R fighter, but its a step in the right direction IMO.
I think the concept of a sports hybrid is great, honda really making an effort change the hybrid conservative image. It is good looking though....Mugen one even more sexy (go to website)

But the torque is something to look at combining both petrol engine & IMA motor equals to 223Nm of torque!

So what do u guys think?

Would be better if comes with K20A i-vtec

If they put in a K20a, i guess it wouldnt serve the purpose of a hybrid:biggrin:,
but maybe they could bump up the 1.5L engine so it makes more power in the 100hp/L area...

is this the next generation fo CR-X?

I dont think its a direct replacement model, but more on retaining the spirit of the old CRX...

Reminds me of my old CRX especially the rear 3/4's with the shape of the rear quarter windows. The Mugen version looks awesome..... must buy one.... wonder how much it would cost here?

In Japan,
the FD2R costs about 2.8mil yen =83K MYR (direct conversion)+ tax = 200K
CRZ , 2.4mil yen = 71K MYR (direct conversion)
Civic Hybid, 2.3mil yen = 68K MYR (direct conversion) + tax = 130K (lower tax for hybrid)

So my guess it would be around 140K-150K.....IF it ever comes to our shores...:smokin:

When I read the specs, the suspension was a bit of a turn off.....front McPherson & rear H torsion beam.....double wishbones F & R would've been more enticing....
