this will not solve the problem... the trouble code will still remain if u din replace the faulty sensor that coz the trouble code!!!

any1 here has their car got engine check light on?? try to unplug the battery terminal c it works o not??
 
My car's engine check light appears when i step on the accelerator and massive jerking till almost mati engine sometimes. The Mech diagnose my car and say should be air flow sensor "kong". He deleted the fault code but i didn't change the air flow sensor as told. Instead, i changed the plug cables, and since then, no engine check light appearing anymore nor massive jerking sampai kereta tak boleh jalan type.

Strange huh?? Conclusion, mechs advise and diagnosic tools aren't always right.
 
pifecto14, wah diagnos tools also can be wrong...then wat else can be use? human brain....
 
so if without the diagnostic tools then how u guys erase the trouble code?? is not the diagnostic tools problem. The trouble code come form ur ECU the diagnostic tools is jux extract information form ur ECU and display only!!! if there's trouble code the diagnostic tools will display the code.. if ur sensor really still working erase the code will b fine.. if ur sensor really kong u need to change the sensor earasing the code will not help!! if diagnostic tools is useless y y ur mech still wanna buy? y ur mech still use that tool to diagnose the car??
 
i have this problem too (sort of).....

i have just converted from auto tranny to manual.simply change the gear box, put in new clutch pedal n other stuff.the ecu remain the old one ( by the way my car is wira 1.6 auto year 1994)

when driving the check engine start to lite on n then off again.
but i dont have any jerking problem or whatsoever.only the check engine lite turn on when reach to 60 - 100kmh.
if simply delete the code can aaa??

i mean reset bro... of coz after u replace the broken socket or so.. if not sure the light still appear..

the machine is 2 know where exactly the problem is...
 
Guys, wanna ask is it ok if i put in a 4g93t head to my 4g92p?Anyone done it?

what are the pros n cons?

what are the items needed for this kinda conversion besides the head?

please help me out here.....urgent coz wanna do before chinese new year maybe.....thanks
 
SOHC to DOHC

...i don think u hav to change to DOHC to get good speed...if u hav a 4g92 just change ur gear box 2 4913 which is 1.3 gearbox n get a 4g92 auto ecu..then just normal thins like air filter n springs...confirm dam fast d...can fight drag wif sgti any time but da con is ur top speed is gone...mine i did like this top can go till 140kmh no prob..then scared la...been using for 3 years no prob at all n FC is RM80(full tank) can go 400-450km...just need2 port n polish then will b super cun...lowm cost fast car..FC oso good...

Hi, need help here…

Going to change my engine head Proton 1.6 SOCH (4G92P) to DOCH (4G93) from gsr. Actually it is more to convert from NA to Turbo. Can say Bolt On Turbo la, but all the half cut from gsr will go into the car only the block from 1.6 proton. Don’t wanna to register my car. Question is on the timming belt..what belt should use??? From 4GTuners I browse they said need to use Evo4 timing, some said the MIVEC also can use so which one should I use???

since all of u guys have change to doch head so need info la... pening aleady....

one more ting head gasket 93 or 92???

i'm not so sure...mine was a satria 1.3 cab...i changed da engine 2 4gf92 auto n remained da old gear box...3 years since i change n still runnin good...but need 2 port n polish coz u know la every time drag engine rough d...but can run wif sgti from stand still so city drive good...i dunno y no ppl wanna do like this...its massive difference k...hope sum1 tries...
 
diff ppl diff taste loh.. 2 me personelly, i love rojak...
 
rojak if u r the 1 that rojak it...4 my case...not me who goreng the rajak :( so it very confusing if need to change some sparepart...
like now...is time to change my timing belt...but still cant confirm wat belt is really suitable n can match the arraw of the cam pulley....some ask me to use back my 4g91 cam pullley instead of 4g93...then use 4g91 timing set...all settle...currently i will follow this....but jus not so confident....n fren ask me to change big crank pulley gear n use 4g93 timing set....hai...oso dont know wat to follow....c this saterday how loh...will update u guys on this...wish me good luck guys...:)

jus some update info after i change the timing belt

combination now:-
-still stick wf 4g93 head but change back to 4g91 cam pulley due to arrow matching issue..(look like now the arrow is matching but cant 100% confirm..cos after so many time trying...)
-timing belt using 4g91 coded 153YU29
-bad thing is 4get to test the compression b4 the changing....
-compression now around 12-13 (consider how? good or bad? wat is the standard 1.6 SOHC & DOHC compression like?)
-previouse issue: cannot rev more then 6k rpm....now can rev over 6k rpm (around 6.5k, think still need to do some setting)
-currently monitoring FC....previousely when work at Klang, full tank can go up to 500km++ (b4 petrol naik harga). but after naik harga & work at kl oledi....oni can go 380-400...now still waiting the fuel light to come out & will update later...
 
hi there...im new here..and i want to ask something regarding the proton engine 4g9 series..
i post on some other thread about this matter but nobody can answer me..

1)can remove the 02 sensor (device before the throttle body)?
-the reason why i want to remove the sensor=the sensor design probably block the flow to the engine.And using bypass method can give a ON signal to the ECU.
In this case idling issue can be solve.

2)can remove the exhaust sensor using the bypass method? same reason as Q1.

As in my theory, if we remove this 2 sensors out, it is possible to rev the engine speed to higher due to this o2 sensor box inlet is too small for high flow use.Once we can enlarge the intake,i guess the engine will be much more smoother when high rev.sensor is not as realible as what we thinking but if we turn it ON all the time..no problem already.

After so long of talking convertion to DOHC...till now still not yet change...haha... everyone still here??? DOHC still runing in good condition???
