As for the non-halal thing, it's debatable. There was some hoo-ha about employees going over to Petron because they all said that San-Miguel is a beer company and they refused to work for an alcohol company. It was hilarious! Don't know what happened in the end but I'm sure something panned out.

You're right about the distributors.

But you're not right about Mobil 1 gold being Ester based (group 5). It's not! All group 3 now sadly. But their additives are pretty impressive in their own right.
Yup, have heard about the non halal thingy. If that is the case, then Genting Casino they cannot work there too. What about (GAB) Guinness Anchor Bhd and many others?

Mobil 1 Grouping, I hear only. Anyway, thanks for the clarification that they are all Group 3.

if ester base then it will be very expensive.
Considering Mobil 1 Gold is in the RM240 price range for 4L, it's not exactly cheap. But like I said, Mobil can justify the cost because of the additives used. It's seriously very good even though base oil is group 3

Genting Casino, all races are qualified to work as croupier long as they are aware of the job they are applying for.
Just some, they work half way they left from what I heard, cuz some say is against their religion so,
end up quitting. So, you will see more other races as croupier.

I know someone from USA working in a oil company. according to him, group 3 base oil is actually good enough for our engines.
The only thing is what the consumers want in their engine oil.
group 4 and group 5 base oil is too expensive for normal consumers.

All in the right viscosity being used. I have friends using SS in turbo charged cars for years.
Group 4 and 5 can used if have nice powerful car or if loaded, but putting group 5 in NA city driven cars is like a waste, but then it is the owner's $$$, so cannot say much....
