this is very normal. they are flying sideways to reduce landing speed and also to counter cross wind.

When u see the plane landing sideways, just observe where the plane's nose is pointing, thats the direction of of the wind is blowing.

If the plane lands straight line, will ended up landing off-course n before the wheels touch down n grips the runway.
