Sport rim size and tyre

Need help with all guys...
i use wish 2010 model.....now want to change tyre and sport rim....today had drive from rawang then go to klang in searching of rims and tyre....1st had decide to use 17inch rims,but in my mind i dont want too many gap at fender side....is it 17inch or 18inch that i should use also what tyre that you guys recommended that maybe pricing between rm300-rm400

There will be no larger gap if you change to 17" or 18" if you use the right tyre size, but if you want lower profile then there will be larger gaps in between.

What is your original tyre size?

Cuz got gap not nice ma...lowered for VIP style MPV. Like many of those VIP style Alza haha

I agree if want to losing the gap,bttr i change..spring,also all shop from rawang suggest me to use 215/50....just right now confuse to buy 17 or 18....also what type that suit to my wish...

before you can go 18". Need to know what is your original tyre size?

Now use bridgestone b259 195/60r16 with standard sportrim for wish 2010

use 215 45 17 with 7.5/8jj rims

Best size to go still is 215/50/17.

225/45/18 exceeded the 3% by 0.01%
But gonna be bumpy ride than usual. If with sports springs even more

They have probably found the best fitment already.

Best to use 215/50/R17 which will reduce your fender gap by >3mm and still within the tolerance from std size. Use rim size 17x7 or 17x7.5

Yes, 215/45 is actually even smaller diameter than std size, hence will increase the fender gap and the tire is getting too thin so will be a bit harsh ride.

Do not use staggered sizes coz your car is FWD.

Ok what, to make handling even better. Basically to make it a station wagon. :)

That is why I mention use the correct size tyres. 215/50R17 you mention is correct but is actually bigger then the original so how can it have more gap? You simply think that going 17", lower profile automatically more gap.....

Test fitment first on the car before paying to make sure the offset is still fine within the fender and no touching on the inner parts when do full lock turns. Choose rims that fits nicely and also the lightest you can afford so that your acceleration, braking, and FC would not suffer.

Staggered on FWD also makes it more understeer. If RWD then ok to use staggered sizes. :)

Offset 42 normally fits pretty well. Advanti and Konig have light weight rims around RM1600 for 17".

I used staggered before when upgrading from 16" to 17" as wanted to finish off my 16" tyres. 205/50R16 front, 215/45R17 rear, but once the balance of the 16" finished all 17" dy.....
