Need opinion-- remove car carpet.

Guys,

Behalf of my fren, would like to ask an opinion on removing car carpet.
The reason is he is facing a wet carpet when raining, and a thousand of ants build a castle under the carpet
What is the pro and con to remove carpet? can we replace with rubber matt ??
Pls advise... Thanks

I guess the pro will be the car is lighten a bit...
And the con will be the wires hiding underneath the carpet will be exposed...
Ur friend should pin point the leakage first... and repair it... No use if he change to rubber mat... the car will be damp also... or the car will be moving pool... btw, what car does ur friend have?
