Planning to own an 2006 Integra DC5 type R for daily use, not for track or any run, just personally love it because it looks cool and rare. Self aware that it is a 12-years old car. Any advise or comments ??
Pls don't hose me, I srsly don't know they only uses RON97 until now hahah, thanks btwIf you are ok with it using only RON97 fuel and above, then that is one question solved for your daily drive question.
Ya ~ saw some good condition on Mudah.my as well … hahah
Keyless entry, Apple Carplay, remotely turning on the a/c BEFORE I get to the car. Pretty sure I want to daily a modern car. Seriously the best feature is keyless entry. The convenience factor is just top notch, I recommend it to everyone buying a new car because it's really a practical thing to have. When you say "daily" what do you mean? Just drive to work and the shops only? Any family? With a partner or alone? With old folks?
I daily drove a R32 for a month and it was great. Alone in the car and sometimes to pick the daughter from tuition.
Then I daily drove a Porsche 966 for a week and it was great.
The only thing about both those cars is RON97 and parts are stupid expensive so maintenance is high. Not really great for a average bloke like me since I don't make big bucks. But if I were rich I'd daily the Porsche. It's so easy to drive and quite practical.... if you're just 2 people only kinda guy.
The Swift is my first car with the keyless feature and honestly I still don't see what's the big deal with this feature other than just making it a bit more convenient to open the door!Keyless entry, Apple Carplay, remotely turning on the a/c BEFORE I get to the car. Of course I get to drive a stick from time to time, still nice to do that, but wouldn't want to daily it without the nice amenities.
I suggest you join forums and FB groups for this car and do a lot of reading up on questions asked by owners when problems crop up. You will learn a lot from these questions. Also, if you want to "play" older cars like these, i suggest you adopt a more hands on approach on maintenance and not just totally rely on workshops.Planning to own an 2006 Integra DC5 type R for daily use, not for track or any run, just personally love it because it looks cool and rare. I guess that rules out the AXIA...Keyless entry, Apple Carplay, remotely turning on the a/c BEFORE I get to the car. Pretty sure I want to daily a modern car. No problem. There is a starting point for everyone out there where it is the first time that they learn about something. No issues and don't worry about it. As for common problem, sorry that I can't help you much there because I don't own a DC5 nor did I know anybody that drives a DC5.Pls don't hose me, I srsly don't know they only uses RON97 until now hahah, thanks btw
Any other common problem with the model ? Maybe gearbox or other sort of stuff…
The thing about the question of practicality for daily use actually differs from people to people. It depends on what sort of car you grew up with, what sort of people/society that you mix with and what kind of location that you normally drive in.The Swift is my first car with the keyless feature and honestly I still don't see what's the big deal with this feature other than just making it a bit more convenient to open the door!
Well, the highest spec Axia that cost RM40k plus does have keyless entry... But that is a lot of money for a very little car...I guess that rules out the AXIA...

Reminds me of the Michael Hastings case.I
That kinda shit won't happen with more analog cars. And I prefer key over keyless. Just don't feel safe with all the modern hacks that people can do these days.
What case was that? And who's that?Reminds me of the Michael Hastings case.
He was a US journalist who exposed a Army general. What case was that? And who's that?
