Help in CAI

Guyz...need some help over here. I'm driving a 4G15 carb. Need to do CAI but no idea wat material should i use and how to tarik the hose to the front bumper since there is a wall of besi located behind our bumper. I try to look at it but couldnt find a hole for the hose to pass through. N do anyone noe where i can buy CAI hose?

what car are u driving??...

CAI hose can be anything as long as it is big enough and flexible....

if u want quality ones, try PM ninja_iga... not sure he is still selling it or not...

if want lower grade hose, go to car aircond shop and buy the rubber hose....

Right chassis..besidw ur battery....there is empty space in ur fender...u can conect ur CAI from there to front bumper.....if not mistaken..2.5" is good enuf..

wat happens when it rains? won't the filter suck in water as well?

i dun want my maf sensor to die wei...

ya la i doubt this problem too......ok example, i am using Apexi open port filter..i use TUPPERWARE to close it tight and use a hose lead to front grill to suck cool air from outside....raining how? or wash car maybe burst in the water in the hose.

later on air filter need water filter liao......lol

the CAI quite long rite?> from front to air filter part....its actualy quite a long distance....how the rain water going to wet ur air filter le?

me n my frens are using for so many years...yet stil no problem..knn 6inch with 3inch cai

erm like this ..... i got CAI oledi without bellmouth ..... DIY one .... every heavy rain i also open to check my filter weather got wet anot ....... no wet filter found ..... and also flood .... erm thats a problem i'm thinking but by pratical if the flood goes up to the bumper level oledi .... in any circumstances i think even without CAI also wun proceed ..... better die of the car n let the water flood ..... i will do that but until now in a lucky state haven`t kena ..... so i must thank god ..... observe floded parts ....

yeap... water wont get in so easily lar.... dont worry... water wont go through the twist and turn of ur CAI route... even if there is some, it wont hurt ur filter much la... no worries mate...

its hard for water to get to the air filter, coz CAI in from down to up. i have mine, and i drive 100kmh in heavy rain... car still oke..filter still use the same untill now. just make sure u put a filter at the beginning of the air intake. not sponge, but "penapis teh" our mother usually use to tapis serbuk teh. thats stainless steel. cut it round and put at the CAI. this will help prevent small stones getting to your air fillter above. it realls works, the DIY filter never rust. im using mine near 3 months, and i always outstation.

just but 1 pair then u can put 1 inlet and 1 outlet.....i meant

1 u put at the hose mouth there somehwere at the grill there to suck the cold air from outside.
another 1 u put the hose mouth at the container and airfilter there.

mercedez stock engine come wit CAI...in front of the grille there....oem cai..direct to the filter box..

so it is safe to use la...dun care raining or not raining le.....go benz showroom hv a look....u might get some ideas...
