Currently there are so many ppl worry about car being steal off, what we can do is slow them down. there are so many mechanical lock in the market.
what i heard is Stoplock, Solex and etc.

Lets discuss on which one is the most durable and can prevent from your car say good bye to you.

i use sterring lock but the key break in two part cannot pull out.luckily that time i didnt lock my sterring yet! its dangerous choose the right lock and key also i'll post my picture!

for myvi owner..i recommend used v166 yale steering lock plus....locktact/locktech pedal lock...plus....standard myvi gear lock....plus....sand blasting......for peace of mind about ur valueable car....

whatever locks you put, if a thief reallly wants your car he can still steal it either by towing it or putting it on a flat bed lorry. What the additional locks does is create a situation that your car is 'less desirable' compared to similar cars in the same parking lot that does not have additional locks, a thief will always choose the easiest car to steal

Its true bro,... very true,... I guess they could already know what lock you use,... if its so hard,... they tow the car,... or gun point you,... your life or your ride,...?

i would say tracking system is a must if u feel that your car is a "highly targeted car". a combination of a good steering lock and tracking system is a good thing to have

some tracking systems can be linked to the original alarm. in case the thieves manage to open the door without disarming the alarm, a signal will be sent to the operation center and they can immobilize the engine remotely and the car location will be tracked..

all modern immobilizer are available everywhere, but the thing that really slow them down would be a good steering lock, brake pedal lock or even gear lock....but it should be a good quality brand. i always stick to stoplock....but now we have some even better one from T-rex, yale, etc etc

PAS Wilayah Persekutuan melahirkan kebimbangan dengan kejadian curi kereta di negara ini dengan laporan terkini yang menyatakan sebanyak 150 buah kenderaan dicuri setiap hari. Dalam laporan tersebut juga dinyatakan bahawa terdapat 112,503 buah kereta berjaya dicuri sejak 2010 manakala kira-kira 55,041 kes pada September 2011 dan kebanyakan kenderaan baru yang dicuri seperti paduan empat roda dieksport ke negara Timur Tengah.

Kes ini menggambarkan kepada masyarakat bahawa negara Malaysia bukan sebuah negara yang selamat untuk pemilik kenderaan terutama kereta import atau mewah. Bagi pelancong, negara ini bukan suatu destinasi selamat kerana risiko kenderaan yang mudah dicuri selain dari kadar peningkatan jenayah yang lain. Tambah membimbangkan lagi adalah penduduk kawasan sekitar Kuala Lumpur yang rata-rata penduduknya memiliki kenderaan sendiri. Kawasan padat dan trafik sesak seperti Kuala Lumpur mungkin menjadi ‘syurga’ buat penjenayah curi kereta menyebabkan pemilik kereta merasa amat khuatir mengenai tahap keselamatan kenderaan mereka.

PAS WP meminta supaya kerajaan mengambil langkah segera dalam memastikan kejadian curi kereta dapat diatasi. Dalam hal ini, PAS WP meminta pasukan keselamatan mengetatkan kawalan keselamatan mereka terutama di kawasan kediaman penduduk di sekitar Kuala Lumpur. Kekhuatiran ini dirasai lebih lagi oleh penghuni Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) kerana kenderaan mereka diletakkan di tempat awam yang risiko kecuriannya amat tinggi. Dalam keadaan tiada pengawal keselamatan, dan tiada pemantauan ketat, tiada jaminan kereta yang mereka letakkan di kawasan perumahan mereka tidak dicuri.

Selain itu, kompleks membeli belah, kawasan pejabat, serta kawasan parkir kereta awam adalah kawasan berpotensi besar kejadian curi kereta berlaku. Seharusnya di setiap kawasan terbabit mempunyai pengawal keselamatan atau kamera litar tertutup (CCTV) supaya setiap penghuninya merasa selamat dan terkawal. Mana-mana kawasan gelap perlu diterangi supaya boleh dilihat oleh orang ramai. Kawasan-kawasan ‘hitam’ pula perlu dibuat pemantauan ketat dengan kekerapan rondaan dilakukan. Setiap kenderaan keluar masuk di kawasan terbabit bersama pemandunya dikenalpasti supaya kejadian curi kereta tidak berlaku .

Akhirnya, PAS WP benar-benar berharap kejadian curi kereta di negara ini dapati diatasi dengan pelbagai kaedah dan kawalan keselamatan yang dipertingkatkan. Apa yang paling dirisaukan adalah timbulnya persepsi yang negatif dari kalangan masyarakat terhadap keselamatan mereka dan harta mereka di negara ini yang semakin terdedah dengan pelbagai bahaya jenayah.

I use all of them. Now considering clamping device. :biggrin:
