Alan - Ace in mv has the yellow dip. per can is RM50+

Izso - I guess you got your answer =P Ideally you should get a spray gun and a compressor. But BH also complain after the project its super F to clean...

SF - My guess is you need to bang the wall to feel the pain ;)

Issb - How did you get those gallons in? The consistency of a spray can has more color than of the dip that is diluted. Just have to spray more layers. They also have the sprayable gallon.

Yup, I feel your pain and your satisfaction. I tried on my rear emblems, manage to get smooth
texture, but too bad I missed the angles and had to redo :banghead:

Not sure I manage to get hold of the skill, need to see my 2nd attempt whether the result is same haha..practice more.

U mean BH said is F hard to clean? Using Chamois Cloth?

I refuse to pay 300+ for an air compressor that'll be so goddamn noisy!

Isn't there some sort of electric spray gun or something? Time to go surveying websites. Dammit.. I have a lot of work to do and I can't concentrate!

well im planning to paint my whole car bro.. Matt yellow

Well, I will send my car to spray the plasti dip on the roof tomorrow.

I will update you if the painter can do a good job. Then, you may consider to let them spray for you.

Yes, there is electric compressor out there. I have bought one
But is much expensive than a air comp..

For painting services, Leonard Loo has a PD Garage for large projects. but What I really focus here is DIY

SF - He has troubles cleaning the gun and canister.

Here's yesterday's project, Just changed the black to white.

Ermm....yeah cuz when it dries up, is gonna be rubber and is hard to clean after.
Maybe use something that can dilute those rubbers again?

I just did my front grill also, one thing I to know is if we send the car to wash those worker use microfiber cloth to wipe how? And how long will it last on Crome part

The microfiber thread will stick to the plastidipped area. So basically tell them not use cloth on that spot and just blow dry it.

DIY wash the car ourselves

I am using microfiber mitt to wash the dipped surface. But instead of wiping, I tap and brush lightly on the dirty area then spray with water. Works every time and the dip doesn't come off. To dry the water, same thing, use MF and tap instead of wipe.

Sigh. I wanna decal my car with plastidip but now I'm thinking whether I should do it or not. Imagine cleaning and waxing the car.. that's gonna be a major pain in the a$$

Just do first...when you wanna wax, remove it and re-apply after wax..We're all waiting for your project =D

Remove plastidip then wax then spray on again? That will be a waste liao wor

1 of the reason thought of plastidip whole car is no need to wax

will do, only have weekends to my self

Same here, only on certain weekends, tried to do at night but too many "Count Draculas"
Trying to get a taste of my blood...

Wahhh, everyone going smoothly. My hands very itchy. But is a rims degreaser good enough to remove brake dust? Those dust became solid to my Proton PE rims.

Your rims plastidipped? If not yet, then you may try using wheel cleaners and a brush to wash it 1st.
Some may be hard to remove especially those that had already cake into or eat into the rims.

Just like the kelisa rims that I did previously. All other dirt or grease or watever stains able to remove.
only some seems to be part of the rims then it aint gonna be easy to remove or even possible to
do so. I tried scrubbing and applying more and leave the wheel cleaner lube on it longer, but
still unable to remove it.

If you have the habit of washing your rims like vr2turbo, then the rims inside wont have too much cake in stains.
