Pattern looks very promising. Tread wear improved to 340 from 280 also.

Yah! at least this one pattern change and looks interesting. However if they follow the trend of CSC5P then will come is large sizes only.....:rolleyes:
 
340 threadwear are good indeed...CSC5P will lose their grip after 50% of wear & thats less than a year....I hope this CSC6 can last longer since conti tires are not cheap :burnout:

But most tyres loses some grip after 50%, due to rubber compound hardening and especially in the wet due to less thread pattern balance

Yes ure right bro vr2turbo its just that it wears very2 fast & need to change tire every year...felt like threadwear was 100++ only even its stated as 280 :bawling:

Threadwear number only an indication, differs on real world application, like car setup, car's power, driver's driving style, routes, road condition, weather and so on. The number by manufacturer are tested under controlled environment.
Just like when new tyres comes out, whatever reviews we see will be when they are new, rarely we see feedback until they are worn bald, that is why in the forum more feedback always encouraged so we get data from real world users, and how they perform along the way.
Just like my GT Radial Champiro HPY, when new I can say match up to 80% of the GY Asy2, now 3 years old, rubber compound seems to have harden faster then my Asy2, still have say 40 t0 50% in the rear and probably 60 to 70% in the front, on hard acceleration it does not hold the VR as well as it used to, and in the wet it snakes where it was not so obvious when new.....:smokin:
 
vr2 : I dunno how you use GY ASSY2 for 3 years. Mine's barely 1.5 years and the thread indicator is at 3mm. BARE MINIMUM THREAD!!!

Bro. Izso, you do very much more mileage than me. I used them for about a year then it went into my Hyundai when I switch to the GT Radials. The Hyundai was then hardly used when my wife got the Chery SUV. The Asy2 are now 4 years old not 3, the HPY are 3 years old....:driver:

So have you made up your mind whether it will be 205/50R17 or 215/50R17?

205/50R17 closer at 0.36% bigger but less tyre choices
215/50R17 more comfort with higher sidewall, but 1.9% bigger
You not racer with this car looks like 215/50R17 is better......lol:biggrin:

Either you drive a lot and/or you whack corners like nobody's business la! :biggrin:
I used my F1-D5 which is the same tread wear as the F1A2 and can last 3.5yrs/>50k km with only 1 time rotation between left & right (coz I cannot rotate front & back due to staggered size). If I can rotate front & back, surely I would at least add another 10-15k km on them.

My guess is the 215/50/17 will give more accurate reading coz most speedo are overstated by 5-10kph.
 
I travel about 400km per 1.5 weeks. It's not a lot what.

That's about 40km/day, is it? Then it's similar like me lor, that means you drive much more aggressive lor, eat up tires much faster than me! :driver:

The first thing is how? need to remove te battery connecter or not?

I jus scare if i install is still come out fire after i install the second wire.
