How come?
The sensor detects the toothed pattern on the driveshaft right?
Nothing to do with whatever brake u installed.
Or,yours is different...
I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. I'm going to need to find some time this week to dismantle the whole jimbang thing.

After Izso told me on Sunday morning I then figure out what he was trying to tell me after thinking. The bolt he is looking for is called a Banjo fitting. Refer to picture below. It is usually used on caliper and hydraulic fittings. The Banjo fitting comes with 2 cooper crush washer.

Izso, I have this website which sell these fittings and usually it's hard to find on Malaysia website. This company they do international shipping or you can try to go find those shop dealing in hydraulic. They might have them.
Banjo Bolts and Brake Hose Bolts

This is the list of local shops dealing in hydraulics.

New problem.

ABS keeps triggering even when I'm not heavy braking. Any ideas how to resolve this? I've tried a few things already and it's annoying like hell.

Hi all.

I've sort of successfully transplanted a 4-pot Nissan caliper taken off a R32 Skyline into my Sylphy. The only problems I have now :

1. I can't find a decently priced service kit. Anyone have? RM300+ for rubber seals is unreasonable.

2. The brake oil bolt that locks the brake hose to the caliper for the Sylphy is too long. I had to use spacers and washers to lock it out and prevent leakage. After asking 2-3 spare parts shops they aren't sure if they'll be able to source a shorter but similar bolt. Does anyone know where I can find a shorter bolt that has the hole in the middle to allow brake fluid through, 0.25mm thread and shorter than 3/4 inch long?

Any feedback, help or offers to sell will be appreciated. But if you have something to sell please PM, don't advertise here.
Did you try go to mechanical shop and custom one bolt? When I upsizing brakes, my bolt are custom also.

ABS triggers when wheels are locked, could means your brakes are biting too well....:hmmmm:

No light. I'll try checking the ring again this weekend. I've already cleaned the dirt so that's out of the equation.

Normally what stick on it is the brake dust... and since sensors are magnet,if the dust gt metal, more easier to stick on

Everything cleaned, new brake pads, spray painted calipers and installed everything. Brakes work. But I got a few questions for people who've modified to 4 pot brakes :

- The rotors are bloody heavy. So much so it adds to the steering weight and has significantly slowed down my acceleration speed. How do you guys work around this? Carbon ceramic rotors? Hehehe.. dreaming.

- Do you have the initial caliper clamping noise, a soft "clunk" everything you lightly tap the brakes? I seem to have this noise. Anything to be concerned about? From my own observation it seems alright.

- What if I uprated my servo, how would this affect my brakes?

2 piece rotor for light weight and fast heat dispersing.

Thicker servo=stronger braking force which i always like esp in big heavy car.
The sensation of stopping a heavy car can be quite addictive.u can feel the weight of the car being handled by the brakes.

On the rotors.i would leave it unchange but fiddle with the engine to give out more power.
Or u can compare the cost of getting a lighter disc to the cost of increasing the engine torque and choose.

cant u just retain stock rotor and use custombracket for the 4pot caliper only??? (but the disc size and thickness should not too-far off from caliper choosen.....those A31 cefiro 4pot caliper size i think very close to silpi brake size???

I didn't know Cefiro was 4-pot and if it is 4 pot, it's already way bigger than Sylphy brakes. My GSR brakes on my Wira are slightly bigger than Sylphy stock brakes. True story. Even the disc is exactly the same as my Wira one.

The Skyline rotor is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than stock.

The stock brakes really tak boleh la. I almost got into some emergency brake trouble because of the stock brakes which is why I want to uprate in the first place.

Engine modding on my car is not an easy task la. I don't know where to start.

Actually the right approach to mod is first prepare the car to be able to handle the extra power first (i.e. suspension & brakes), not adding the power first, especially for normal cars like ours. Coz often after upgrade power, drivers can get carried away with the extra power and ends up in accidents instead.
My Mark X stock brakes also damn lousy one, not even adequate for the standard car.

Ten days of restlessness. That was the sort of anticipation I had to endure; counting down the days before I finally got the chance to go up and personal with a LP560. We had initially made arrangements to have the shoot on a Saturday evening, so when Mr. Z called me on Thursday to ask if we could reschedule to Friday, I agreed.

We started the shoot at the basement of a car park, and for the first time, I...
