boys n girls... i bought these calipers awhile back

8541424160.jpg

theyre nissan silvia calipers...not sure which version of silvia though

i need to find brake pads for them... and i need the absolute CHEAPEST pads..i dont need it to be good for sepang etc... just good enough for normal drive. and i just need them as a temporary measure... as i need to change my rotors as well so planning to do endless 550c and new rotos together... dun wan the endless to be "contaminated" by the current rotors hahahahha

so seriously need the cheapest, useable, workable brake pads. can be lauya brand or unbranded etc oso dun mind... as long as its safe enough for normal road use.

any place in mid valley - BT3 shah alam or in between would be awesome...pls state price as well if u know... thanks

(or if anyone has cheap 2nd hand pads they wanna sell i might consider as well)

how cheap are those pads? and where to get them?

i dont need them to last long...dun care about dust.. just must be safe enough for normal road use....i might end up only using them for about a week or 2 (depending on how long it takes for me to find the new rotors)

thanks...

awaiting for more recommendations :D

Buy Bosch.

For Myvi size it's only a paltry RM35 a set. For Nissan shouldn't be too far off.

should be quite cheap...less than rm150 kua....

anyways, do u still have your spring/bracket that holds the brake pads?

wats in the picture is wat i have... and spring, bracket?? which one is this? coz i showed the picture to another pomen n he say yeah its enough

this one....

cos i have a set of those calipers too but 1 spring is missing. therefore i loose value on the product.
but my fren say still able to use without the springs....not sure is it true anot. can try asking your foreman...

dont think i have those.. i did ask about them to a mechanic friend and he said those 2 pins are enough... dont really need the rest.

but im getting the caliper serviced before i install them...wondering if theyre available in the service kit

those calipers are from either S14/S15, they are the same, the only differences is that s15 has slightly bigger discs.

and there is another bracket that holds the brake pads (not the one showed in the pic)....do u have it too?

which one??? do u mean the thin metal piece that sits between the pad and the piston? that one no have.

anyway, like i said... all i have is wats in the picture... nothing else.

the metal piece or the plate or called spring must be used, it somehow (from my shallow knowledge) to push the pad back into position after brake is not applied....

madman...yeah thats the one...
ok if u manage to get it installed in your car with only the parts that u have now pls pm me.....
i need a workshop that can do it...at least i can direct my buyers where to get the calipers installed once buy from me.
tq ya bro....

peterj.
9/10 ppl said need the spring. but 1 guy told me no need spring also can........he is a bluebird nissan owner & quite knowledgeable.
so i hope he is true la......

My service kit only came with the rubber seals....

i am in confusion whether mod the evo 4 twinpot i previously owned or get a set of rb20 r32 4 pot to mod....all with 286 evo 3 rotor....just wonder this can clear the 4 pot or not...and still in frustration coz i almost can get thr rb20 4 pot this morning when i bring cash to the shop but ended left 1 caliper je coz a set been bought and mod by myvi owner, damn it.... and danz silvia set is incomplete ==

and sorry for tumpang thread ,danz, do u think the hood spacer like this Hood Vent Spacer Kit - 25.0mm - Car Accessories & Parts for sale Perak - Mudah.my help cooling? i searching for fiber vented hood and found none made for eg and carbon 1 is ridiculously high price...

and for madman, bendix pad is relatively good in performance and price tags, u should try it... i been using it long time ago, as long as u know it's limits

will take the calipers to the workshop and see if its workable or not la... if not workable, can postpone the project til i get the parts if available....no problem...

besides... if have to scrap the project oso not really a concern....coz i got the calipers oso damn cheap from samurai... RM111 only HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

can always try sell it off at some loss... so will wait n see how it goes :D

286mm will be tough for 15"... even the spoon kit comes with 282mm and only a few wheels can clear it without spacers (and also barrel clearance) SSWorks 4pot is basically using the skyline caliper with 282mm rotor oso.

yeah ive used bendix before long ago... metal king. loved them... but this time my main priority is cheap... as im only planning on using it for a few weeks while i search for new rotors (BB1 rotors brand new abit tough to find)...once get new rotors will pasang endless 500c one shot

no need la to buy that kit, just go to hardware shop get 4 longer screws & a few nuts....less than rm5. but it does improve engine cooling alot.
