Helmets. While some bikers are more than obliging to wear them, some are just a stubborn nutcase that somehow could not accept the simple fact that the human head is very fragile, and it does not take much for a damage to be done and ruin one’s life forever. Like seatbelts in a car, it does not take an eternity to put it on, especially since it offers the best deal to a biker; pulling him an inch away from death.

In case some of you have friends that still wanted to feel the flow of air going through the hair, show him this video to change his mind. Worry not though; this footage contains no gore scenes, so it is completely safe to be watch by those who are a bit faint-hearted. This footage takes us to the land of the Englishmen, where the British Superstock 800 was recently held at the Oulton Park Circuit. While accidents and mishaps are some sort of a common occurrence in bike racing, this one goes straight for the bull’s eye.

British Superstock 600 2012 Oulton Park Huge Crash - YouTube

Josh Wainwright was negotiating a corner in the 11th lap when he went a bit too low and fell off his bike. But with Johnny Bradshaw trailing right behind, he had nowhere to go and not enough time to avoid the helpless Wainwright on the track, and that is where Bradshaw drove over Wainwright’s head with his motorcycle, literally.

Even with a helmet on, such an impact could result in some serious injuries. Unbelievably, Wainwright only had a cracked rib and a broken collarbone, while Bradshaw, who also went off-track after the collision, only had some minor injuries on him. Imagine if such situation happened on the roads with no helmet on the “Wainwright”. Simply put, it is going to be messy.
