Hi all toyotarians

im planning to get myself an open pod k&n air filter for my 4AFE (auto) engine. the problem is, there seems to have an air sensor attached to the original drop in air filter box. So, if i were to remove that air sensor, what will happen? will it affect the engine or more complicated things will happen?

Need advise and help
keong

my mate replaced the RAM pipe with an aftermarket one, running with Apexi twin intake filter.

what he did was just drill a hole in the center of the ram pipe and rubber plug in the sensor. pretty straightforward from what i could see.

in ur case bro,it's easy lar.u can drill a hole on a pipe n glue the sensor
to the pipe using silicone.it's not the same as vios.vios sensor use 2 screw
to secure it on the air box.

btw,hehehe...me no sifooo....me also learning.

Not sure about you bro, but i also use 4afe engine.. i recently change to k&n open pod too.. the oxygen sensor can plug and play means no need to mod.. from what i saw was they plug out the connection only and plug to the k&n O2 sensor.. no need remove the whole sensor... hope this helps..
