hi ppl...i wld just like 2 share my personal experience on using TUFOIL...u c..i drive a mitsu 4G63t n im sure 99% of ppl here knows d famous mitsu is famous for its NOISY TAPPETS n believe me...mine sounded like a disco playing TEK TEK TEK only :)...well...after reading n following this forum for a while,i decided 2 give it a shot...dat was about a year ago...

i was using semi synt castrol magnatec..i decided 2 give TUFOIL a shot...n 2 my amazement,it worked very well in eliminating d sound...not bad 4 a 1st timer i thought...RM59 well spent...BUT...after a while d sound came back..not too loud but noticable....very iritating...so i decided 2 service my car way b4 its due....my surprise...d engine oil was very "cair" la...like water n im not kidding...damn!!

(i dont know wats d effect of dis...some oil i found out very "watery" after change n some not...s u will find out wat i mean s u read further....)

so i decided 2 give another engine oil a try...wiz TUFOIL of coz...so i tried SHELL full syth...not s good...sound still there...i thought...TUFOIL not doin a damn thing...must just b d engine oil n dat TUFOIL is just a scam....so i just bare d noise wiz curses in my mind...

just about 1k b4 my next service...i went 2 ENEOS looking 4 another engine oil....my eyes came across the full synth..i read d description on it n it says its best suitable for JAPANESE cars..n my engine being from a japanese car i decided 2 give it a shot...dis time WITHOUT TUFOIL...eh???sound decreased...then gone...i said..."hey!!so i WAS conned 4 using TUFOIL"...so i didnt add TUFOIL dis time...happy for a while till d sound came back...i said "DAAAAMMMMNNNN!!!!nevermind since my next oil change is due anyway"...less then 1k 2 go i decided i go for servicing...i watched the mech drain d engine oil...WOW!!still thick...i thought.."hey dis oil is good compared 2 dat stupid magnatec"...in goes again ENEOS full synth.... noise still there....but d good thing it comes n goes...not a bad thing i thought 2 myself ... about a few weeks after dat i just went n got myself TUFOIL at ace at midvalley n just poured it in result???FANTASTIC...NO SOUND AT ALL...not even a bit..

now im currently using d famous Q8 F1 full syth just 2 test it out (heard a lot of good things about dis oil)..i wanted 2 try it out wiz TUFOIL but time didnt permit me 2 go down 2 midvalleyn get a bottle so i just have 2 wait 4 my next oil change/service which wont b too long....

p.s. in case u readers r wondering y i service my car quite often...dats bcoz i travel a lot...my office is in SIC n i live in KL...average daily mileage is about 140km!!crazy eh!!!hehehehe

in other words....my verdict using dis product (TUFOIL)......try it...at 1st i was sceptical..even blame it for being a hoax...a scam...psychology maybe....but result is clear....its proven...noise gone....mileage better...

thks 4 reading...might b too long n boring 4 some ppl...but some might read it wiz interest n give it a shot...all i can say is for RM59....its money well spent...good small investement....

Thanks to all, to mengz, lawrencelyl and fazidk for the favourable feedback on the award-winning Tufoil. We must say that over the years, we have come across quite a number of die-hard Tufoil users or loyalists like you all who have been promoting Tufoil to colleagues, bosses and neighbours.

There is available a VALUE PACK for Tufoil. This is 1.5 lits and although the sticker reads TUFOIL TRUCK ENGINE TREATMENT it is the same good stuff. The current price is only RM 299.00. This is equivalent to 6 1/4 bottles of the RM 59.90 Tufoil you are all using at the moment. If you do your calculations, it cost just RM 47.84 per 8 oz. bottle! Isn't this a value for money buy? Besides, this is a subsided price meant more for fleet owners, industrial and commercial vehicles.

We have always recommended all our loyal customers to use this large packing, we ourselves are using this. Those with 3 cars and above or who changes their oil at 5K monthly should seriously look at this option. Do keep an empty 8 oz. bottle as a measuring quide should you go ahead to buy the 1.5 litre pack.

Ace Hardware, Eneos and some parts dealers carry the bigger pack.

Rgds.

I am looking forward to using it but I just don't like to call some to buy it.
Why don't you just get "Brothers" to be your reseller too.
It is more convenient thus.

I have been using X1R and I have no problem switching!!...

Three places closest to your Kelana Jaya office where you can get the good stuff.

1.M. Power Auto in Taman Mayang Jaya, next to Stuggart. You will see plenty muscle BMWs like M3 and M5s here.

2, MD Auto in SS 2/2 - across from the Taman Bahagia LRT station exit. Shop is parallel to LDP. Mercedes specialist with good trouble shooting skills.

3. Pusat Aksesori Kereta Subang Parade Lower Ground next to cobbler.Ever since Subang Parade opened this accessory and car care shop has been around. Some 16 years!!

Hope you will be able to lay your hands on a couple of bottles, saya.

faz,

After reading your first post, i find it kind of confusing. You tried other motor oils, like shell fully syn, with tufoil, and the tappet sound was still present. But when you used Q8 with tufoil, the tappet sound was eliminated.

Does this mean tufoil only works (best) with certain kind of oil, like Q8?

I am currently using Q8 semi-syn, and my 4g93t tappet sounds are only present when the engine is cold.

Hi guys,

I need to fit a bucket seat into my car and it definitely needs some modifications. Firstly, there's no aftermarket parts for my car so definitely have to fabricate or modify the seat brackets and railing. To me fitting in seats must be done correctly and properly because it involves our safety.

So if you know any good and affordable shops around klang valley, please feel free to share and if possible the price you paid for the work performed.

Thanks guys.
