how to set car alarm remote frequency?

does anyone know how to set the frequency into a new remote of car alarm? i just changed a new battery in the remote but the memory is lost, anyone how to program it back? i'm not sure what brand is my alarm, but there is a button in the car.

put key at on/acc position. press the alarm button in the car 4 times (or 5 times, forgot already).
the led will blink. *press once ur remote button.
turn off key. test ur remote.

*some alarm need to press the 1st button then the 2nd button. if im not mistaken.

can it be done on a stock alarm?

stock alarm not sure. maybe cannot.
only aftermarket alarm capable of this feature.

btw, u can test, see if urs got this feature.
