Hi everyone,

I’m facing this problem for 2 weeks, when i apply the brakes, my car pulls to the right side.
i inspected my front disc and only the right one is functioning because its hot, whereas the left one is cool. not working.

i’m driving a perodua myvi 2009 with abs. what is the problem?
i went to few workshops and inquired but all the mechanics gave me different answer.
i’m confused now which one is faulty.

Mechanic #1 said brake hose.
Mechanic #2 said brake master pump
Mechanic #3 said brake body pump
Mechanic #4 said brake pump.

i don’t want to replace any parts that are not faulty.

Hope someone here can give me the answer.

Thanks in advance.

Brake piston in the caliper is jammed.
if u are lucky, just free the jam and replace the fluid+bleeding will solve the problem.
If not, have to service the piston on the caliper.

happen to me on a Kenari before.
Just free the jam using a piston push kit or in my case a G-clamp.
Then just bleed the brake.

Yup, can check whether caliper jam or not. Disc brake when working have to be warm or hot depending on it's use. If cool then not working, if one side hotter then the other side, the hot side probably got a jam caliper...Need to service....

Dismantle the faulty caliper side, service the caliper and make sure the fluid is flowing through that side and bleed the brakes.

agree with that
maybe the piston jam without touching the disc
btw...service both front brake is not very expensive though
safety bro..

last time my brake pistons was jammed up, helped the mechanic to pump the piston out but failed.
he gave up & told me to find another caliper set at halfcut shop.

we both found an alternative solution rather than buying another caliper set.

since he is also an aircond specialist, he found a nut to cover up the brake hose outlet, use the compressor with metal piping into the brake hose inlet, after a couple of seconds there was a loud "pom", the piston shot out from its casing.

lucky day for me.....

Servicing is standard price, only the brake kit, but for Myvi should not be too expensive....:driver:

That is the usual way they do it, if the piston is stuck tight. Did mine once with my mechanic using his air compressor too. The outlet, just leave the bleeding nipple nut on will do....:driver:

Like izzo mention, service the front brakes. Inspect the caliper piston to see if theres any excessive wear. if it has chip like surface i suggest you change em, otherwise just cleaning em out and replacing the seals should do the trick.
