Honda’s official tuning arm, Mugen, have been a rather busy lot lately. Not only did they whip out two concepts of the Mugen CR-Z at the recently concluded Goodwood Festival of Speed, they also finished up a Mugen worked version of the Ariel Atom some time back.

The lucky sods from Auto Express managed to get their hands on both those cars, one of the Mugen CR-Z concepts and the Mugen-tuned Atom. It isn’t actually a comparison per se but more of an insight into what Mugen is capable of.

Both machines were taken out of their natural habitats though, the Atom was unleashed on the streets to demonstrate how easy it is to drive one on the road and the Mugen CR-Z hit the tracks to show that when push comes to shove, it can send quite a force jolting through you.
