4wd?..come come, buy my car lah, i wanna let go my wira with 4wd...hehehe....

if u really convert to 4wd, u need to run away everytime u see the JPJ roadblock, or not u will kena kaw kaw, i kena few times already.

with 4wd, u can play the anti-lag and launch control if ur ecu got these function, power slide when road in wet.

u need to get the rear cut from evo, cut ur wira floor, the spare tyre section, then install 4wd fuel tank, if ur front gearbox already locked, then may be need to find another gearbox which can run 4wd.

cant remember how much i did coz is about 6 years ago, but need to find the workshop that experience with this convertion, if something wrong, ur car will run senget and feel some vibrate.

If it's not installed straightly, your propeller shaft might be broken into 2 pieces while speeding. Maintenance would be a bit expensive, right? Those shaft bushings and so on...
Just my 2 cents, kindly correct me if I'm wrong.

jinkl,

ya la.....i also wanted to put 4wd in my satria but decided against it.....the
cost is higher for satria ie RM5,000:eek: (can buy another halfcut already) & the matter of being caught by JPJ:secruity:.....
but for satria u can actually "hide" the 4wd rear diff from view by using the horizontal
type muffler across the diff so if u look from behind cannot really see it....

however, if u are reeeeally interested i could point u out to the shop (in PJ)....
my friend did his wira 4wd conversion there & he's satisfied with the results...
he lowered ie londehkan his rear bumper so that one look u won't notice that his
wira is 4wd ....

4WD conversion need to be so expensive?

Maybe i ask my mechanic for you, he has done numerous 4WD conversion but location in JB la...
I sat on Wira and Satria 4WD already, i think the thing jump like a frog but inside the car, less GForce... Not like 2WD Turbo GForce...
But if 400BHP above, it'll stick make you stick to the chair, hehehe...

Anyway, For Satria conversion, you'll still use Evo/GSR etc etc floor pan but the long shaft very difficult to find lor...
Must find Mirage Cyborg 4WD in Japan but don worry, the long shaft diameter same as Evo ones...

Just my 2 cents, kekeke...

GForce some time is depend the engine power. if the same engine power, 4wd should be more GForce compare to 2wd coz 4wd have a good traction.

I am also interested in converting into 4wd but for me much much more easier cause using Perdana E3 maa..........according to my foreman Perdana chasis no need any cutting or welding just need to find for Eterna parts including fuel tank & brackets ( not so sure what sought of parts, newbie maa )...but will JPJ approve this sought of conversion?????? Perdana 4WD or after conversion I should avoid JPJ blocks

 COOL .......Proton 4wd

cyilaw & huakenny,

how is the driving experience when using wira 4wd? i mean how is the car's handling & cornering compared to 2wd? is it really2 THAT good?

coz now with 2wd (especially coz FF) power understeer a lot ie when going through corners:turtle: & u floor the fun pedal.....power UNDArsteer:mad: ..

for my wira the evo 3 4wd system is a old time 4wd system, got a small lsd at rear. of course the cornering and handling better then 2wd, specially when we launch our car for drag and conering at slippy road. but in conner we press the pedal it will have a bit understeer also but not serious as 2wd. the new 4wd system like my evo MR will no understeer or oversteer coz is control by acd and ayc, so more funny to driving new evo, the evo 3 fun also coz when in wet consider very easy to power slide..:)
