Any form of advice n opinions highly appreciated...

Rgrds..

Ps. If this project works i will inc it in my work 'resume'..:)

i think you can order online. im planning to DIY car vinyl wrap. in ACE selling RM50/can

They don't do international shipment. I asked before..
Then if u buy those haven't mix one, u will have to buy something called Xylene IIRC.
We haven't found any yet available commercially.
Can ask paint shops though.

Plasti Dip Pte Ltd

here's one of their dealers. Malaysia dealer:

Plasti Dip Era Sdn Bhd
162A Jalan Temenggong Ahmad
84000 Muar, Johor
Tel: +60 1 2736 5885
Contact person: Jackie Ng

could help you get what you want.
Also, i think 10-15 can is not enough for whole car if you do 4 coats at least. Lets say:
1. Hood = 2 cans
2. Doors = 2 cans each = 8
3. Boot = 2 cans
4. Fenders = 2 cans
5. Roof = 2 cans
6. Bumpers = 4 cans front n back
7. Rear body part = 2 cans

that already easily around 22 cans..

Hey thanx bro cvkit...appreciate d info..maybe they sell in liters/gallons if they're d dealers...will get in touch wiz them to find out more info n assistance...

Waaaaa 22 cans assuming its 60 a can..that's about 1.2k+...hmmmmm seems bit costly for a DIY job...well we'll c Wat I can get from d dealer...

Thanx again guys...

No prob bro..we would like to see you dippin also. Well 22cans is just a ball park figure. I did my myvi hood (which didnt turn out nice so I ripped it off) using 2 cans. 1 can of white + 1 can of pearlizer to cover the whole hood with 4 coats. I did 3 white coats and 1 pearlizer coat. The wind and the nozzles werent on my side so the outcome wasnt as expected. If you wana use canister plastidip, make sure you change the nozzle like the one being used by Fonzie. I believe that you've heard of aikka plastic dip before. Their canister is using that kind of flat nozzle which gives more uniform spray pattern. The downside is that it will finish up the dip faster.

I also thought of using spray cans, do panel by panel but will be ugly on the road

actually that's what I plan to do over time also. Panel by panel dipping. But gotta putty up the chips and uneven surfaces

If you putty then the base will be ugly with patches. PD if not nice can always tear off....:driver:
