Unser max running power?

I am owning a toyota unser lgx manual.

A good mpv with low maintenance and durable parts.
Shortage is quite high fuel comsumption. ( rm 0.22-0.25/km )

another problem normally the speed can reached at 90mph only (rpm 3000)
very hard to go further as engine is going noisy

normal drive 80mph (rpm 2500)
is it normal for this speed?

Any good ideas to solve this problem?
Maybe normal mpv car cannot run too fast (150mph above)

yup, normal mpv cannot run too fast...150mph above is just too fast for an mpv...

perhaps you might consider the Renault Espace F1, built by Matra which can go up to 194mph...

are u sure it was in Mile-Per-Hour speed?? if yess it was already quite fast.....

You want to solve the noisy problem retrofit an electric fan and remove the belt driven fan. Has been done successfully. Then uprate your brakes and tyres cuz trying to stop an Unser going at 80km/h is going to result in your tyres locking up. It's not fun going fast in an Unser which essentially is a heavy brick on wheels with barely any brakes.

Modern cars use eletrical fans.

unser is using an older engine with engine fan cooling system.
engine no problem so far. all working well but only less power during highway drive.

if can upgraded to 6th gear will be better.

i will try to modify to electrical fan to see any improvement for driving.

Its the nature of the quite old school Unser where the gearing is short and you tend to run out of breath much earlier especially in 5th gear. My experience with Unser : I could feel the gearbox is holding the engine capability.
Have you try the basic air filter and exhaust setup upgrade?

Just upgrade the brakes and turbo the thing. How on earth are you going to install a 6th gear?

Unser is like a box....when driven on highway, the wind resistance and drag slows the car a lot....
Cannot compare performance a car and a mpv Unser.

Some ppl even consider Unser a van maybe a mini bus, than a mpv.

If not mistaken they remove the belt driven fan blade so less resistance, then install electric fan with thermostat...

i think modification of engine fan belt to electric will have some improvement but my foreman refuse to do it due troublesome to do it.

any suggestion to change on air filter? will it help? any brand is good for unser?

Better air flow only, but don't think will help much as your gear ratio very low that is why high rpm but low speed. Unser also built with leaf springs, more to carry goods that is probably why low gear ratio for power.

really. unser can carry heavy load.

8 person carriage still good pick up power.
