A friend changed from Continental Premium Contact 2 to this Yoko's AE50, can really feel the grip was only so so compared to the previous CPC2's.. and even the cpc2's themselves are very prone to sliding on corners.., can notice the ESC kicks in more with the ae50 on..

Yoko AE-50 are Eco mid tyres. Even CPC2 with AA traction are mid tyres only. If your friend priorities are more into performance and cornering he needs UHP tyres, like Conti CSC range or Yoko S-Drive

Bluearth AE-50 actually out some time already. I got my friend to fit 4 pcs on his Estima a few months back.
Should be a quiet tyre like dB V551. Have to contact him and see how he is doing on them.

For me, I am using the Geolander G055 and they are very lasting even for a SUV.....

Hey vr2turbo, it'll be awesome if you or your friend can chip in with some reviews

I'm currently trying out a set of 215/45/17 and am loving it, coming from the AD08R these ecoish tyres are a massive change of feel to my daily Clio.

Wow, from AD-08R to AE-50, many category down.....

very true, but somehow these more mainstream AE50 tyres seem to compliment the hatch better.

The AD08R used to be 225/40/18 on 18x8 and was inducing some tramline effect especially after 10K KM.

Easier to wheel spin and slide. :burnout:

Got one time I switch from GY Asy to the Blue Streak Stiletto, had fun sliding that tyre around but in the wet it was scary until later on, switch back to Asy2.....lol:biggrin:

tramline? It was pulling left/right by itself?

Yeah on certain roads, which I suspect is likely due to the squarer profile of the AD08R when in 225/40 on a 18x8

Really? Hmm... I never had that issue. Maybe it's the alignment of your car factored together with the big blocks on the tyre?

Probably oversized for his Myvi but size was correct for your hero......

Haramjadah....was intrigued by the promo ... tgk list of tires available.... 15 inch nada?

Terus hancur harapan
