Supercars are more than just an icon of speed; they could also serve as a symbol of wealth and accomplishment of an individual. And when one of those costs a minimum of RM1mil+, most prefer to take them out only for a Sunday drive rather than having stone chips on the front bumper or raking up the mileage.
But at the recent TIMETOATTACK, it was a whole different story as some of the owners did not mind getting some battle scars and brought down their prized possessions down to unleash the true potential of their million-Ringgit thoroughbreds.
And the one that is almost impossible to overlook is this bright yellow Porsche 911 GT2 from Exoticmods. This particular Porsche is no stranger to Sepang as it was seen joining almost all major events held at this particular track.
Joining in the mayhem was its own comrade, also from Exoticmods, the baby blue R8. Sporting a unique wrap just like the Porsche, this R8 also had its V8 being put to full use, even when it was pouring wet!
Some of the GT2’s siblings were also there to join in the event, like this GT3RS. Although it did not take part in the time attack session, it did give the audience a quick display of power by blasting down the makeshift drag strip during the drag battle.
But when mentioning about supercars and exotics, excluding the Italians is totally a no-no, as most of these elegantly-built, flamboyant automotive marvels originates from Italy. And one of the most famous marquee from the land of supercars is none other than The Prancing Horse a.k.a. Ferrari.
Even so, Ferrari could never sit back and enjoy its position as a thoroughbred exotic car maker it is endlessly challenged by its lifelong archrival, Lamborghini. The Charging Bull also has some great armaments in its arsenal, enough to put Ferrari in a restless mood.
This lightened version of the Gallardo, the LP 570-4 Superleggera should not be underestimated as the V10 produces a massive 570 horsepower for it to gallop with.
The previous version of the Superleggera is still a formidable weapon in the right hands; those that could tame down the roaring V10 at the back of the driver of course.
But if 570 are not enough, one could always get more from the V12-bearing big brother, the Murcielago. Producing 640 horsepower from the 6.5l engine, this big Bull kept on giving a hard time to its drag rivals, obliterating them with the raw power from its massive power plant.
But aside from the tracks itself, one could also find some other exotics lurking around in the pits or parking lots. MCKEE Racing’s booth featured quite a number of rare cars that is hard to come by on our shores,...
...like this track-only KTM X-Bow,...
...a stripped-out Aston Martin Vantage,...
...Ford Shelby GT500,...
...and this Camaro SS.
And not to forget, TIMETOATTACK’s safety car is also a special one, giving the impression as if it is the F1 season! With some pretty massive wheel arches to accommodate those wide tires, this Mercedes is actually an SL55 AMG, made to look like the SL65 AMG.
But behind the pits, lays one of the cars that had reached a legendary status, regarded by many as the supercar of Japan. There it was, sitting passively under the gloomy skies, the NSX-R.
Sporting its iconic championship white shade, this immaculate specimen of Japanese engineering looks fast even by standing still.
Joining the NSX-R at the serene location was also this Lotus Evora…
…and this stock silver R8.
There is more to come for TIMETOATTACK’s cars with lots of JDM and Euro coming up next, so please stay put as we got more in store for your viewing pleasure!
