Hi guys,

Let's say I wana build a car based off Caterham 7 or Ariel Atom, how would I get it road legal the easy way? Plans are completely home made, not official plans from Caterham or Ariel.

I know the hard way to get it road legal, which involves submitting lots of documents to various gov departments and would take months. Any easy way for a one-off model to get some legal exemption?

I don't think it is easy, your car must go thru quality checks like SIRIM, safety checks and everything.. But I dont think our JPJ will approve any home-built cars.. BUT you can still drive it on tracks.. right?

You'd probably need to crash test a few as well as part of process I suppose
