Cheaper by 20k
Just change the badge back to Toyota
They removed the blindspot assist and 360 camera to make it cheaper apart from tax structure which to me makes the Rush 'cheaper'.
Furthermore Rush comes with 5y/unlimited mileage...why AaaRooos 5y/150k km only?

Rush seems worth the extra money?

Then it's a con job. CKD drastically reduce the taxation on the car, by right price should come down. Even German marques, when CKD the price goes down. Throw in EEV it goes down further.
Yup, CKD means tax on parts which is cheaper. All CKD model of other brands are cheaper also, like Forester was in the RM170k plus region CBU those days, then CKD was around RM160k, then with offer dropped further....

but your average commuter drive about 20k km/year so why pay extra for "unlimited" mileage when you don't use that much. blindspot assist and 360 camera isn't worth 20k.

They might have special arrangement with the G where request for tax reliefs for importing one big lot with some terms and conditions, might be ckd in Malaysia is the conditions.
Giant companies will have a lot of advantages in taxes as they can bargain with Miti

Finally saw the x70 on the road. It's a lot smaller than I thought it'd be.

from outside it does looks like just around the size of range rover evoque....

but inside cabin is quite comfy and not too cramped...

rear seat legroom and boot space is definately bigger than mazda cx5

Where can one go for a test drive of the X70?
I saw Proton COE put a big ass words: X70 on a banner that says open 7 days a week. You can go today.
