You can check around first on the battery. I heard from one shop now they trying to find and replace a section of the faulty battery, since the whole battery is made up of many battery cells joined together. Usually one cell goes the whole battery kaput, so if they can find the faulty cell and replace that cell alone will be cheaper. Just a thought.....
Malaysia sometimes dodgy. In guai lou countries they are doing this. Tesla batteries also.

Wasnt looking at one specifically but prices are about 40-45k and pretty affordable monthly installment as well. Maintenance looks normal until the battery dies.
that sorta budget, a well built Honda EF with a b18c engine would definitely be a lot better a drive. but less technology la.

take a look at Mini Cooper S. your budget can get R56 turbo charged. Surely more fun than CRZ :smokin:

I dont have that much cash thats why. If just to buy on a loan and maintain, its pretty affordable for me. Just the battery replacement. Not really into modding until am rich enough.

The Honda CR-Z MANUAL is a pretty fun car to drive. Handles well, not much power but its enough power to have fun in the twisties. If you are thinking about the automatic then forget about the car.

I do not recommend modding the power train, it is fine as it is for daily drives, for highways, for pretty much everything you want it to do except racing. I mean, don't go racing against a Perodua Myvi 1.5L or a Proton XC70. If you want to do that buy something else.

It's not that common, plus it is quite cool. My experience is 18 months between 2016 to 2018 on a 1st hand Gen 1 Honda Malaysia car, not much problems at all. If you want a sporty 2 door coupe, fun, and have good fuel consumption, highly recommended.

You are right. Haha. Still moving up in my career so maybe in future I shall see how.
If you're looking for a loanable car - there's the Mini Cooper S recon. Comes with 1 year warranty and drives like a bloody bee with its ass on fire. It's freaking nice to drive and chicks dig the car assuming she's not any taller than 5ft6. Taller chicks would have tall friends and they can't really fit in the rear seats.

Which year model range are you referring to? because last I saw it as about 50-60k

Also after reading up on cr-z and the hybrid batteries. Someone did mention there was a hybrid specialist in Subang that does check and replace the individual cell instead of the whole pack if people dont want OEM factory replacement. And seems the facelift one has Lithium-ion as opposed to NiMH for first gen. I wonder if thats any difference

Any comments on the visibility in the rear of this car? like side mirrors, and rearview mirrors and the rearview window.

my last time I drove the car there is a big blindspot on the rear fender area so gotta watch out for motorbikes. otherwise it's ok. If you sit properly and adjust the mirrors outwards you should be fine
