i've been thinking of modifying my waja 1.6 into either 2 of these engines..so, i need u guys to help me to make some comment on it..whether in betterness, COst, petrol consumtion, power and etc..

errr waja u convert to mivec + turbo , keep aside atleast 10k , remember u got to get 2 halfcuts :P i dont tink u can get engine kosong easily cos terbalik
1.8gsr would cut out by 3k

1st if u go mivec+turbo it has many things to consider bout it
coz bolt on a turbine to a na engine
eg:over heat, or can the engine block stand the pressure
it will cost u double as u buy a mivec half cut n turbo kit

1.8gsr is not so troblesome
u juz install into ur engine bay then u can drive liao

so think carefully b4 u decide to take either mivec+turbo or gsr

The evo 9 is well design, so that it can handle mivec n turbo at the same time.. where else if u are gonna put a bolt on turbo on a mivec engine urself, its a hybrid engine.. and trust me.. there is just too much headache doing it.. and not to mention alot of $$$$.. but off cause it can be done.. just not worth the effort..

Last i heard, the evo 9 only has variable valve timing but no lift..

tats wat i heard of evo 9 mivec too....variable timing oni n no lift......but, even if it does, its all designed by the engineers n it will work.........wat we r doin here is basically mixing n matching parts aroun.......a 1.8 mivec turbo does not exist n hence we r basically 'engineering' it ourself.......it can b done, just need lotsa attention, time n money......

for me if u wanna convert 2 mivec better dun turbo it..
coz it will cost u more than u ever imagine... hehehe
trust me... try it if u dun believe it...
normally ppl convert to mivec coz ppl luv 2 drag battle
coz mivec&vtech stimm lebeh woooo..... wacakap lu...
and 4G93t turbo more 2 fastlane usage... hehehehee...
and more cheaper 2 upgrade.... and sparepart much more
cheaper & easier 2 find rather than mivec....
waja body x sesuai laaa masok tis type of engine....
waja kalu nak convert masok evo4,5,6.....
more suitable....... hehehe......

JPJ will say no to u first la..1.6 to 2.0 is not legal..

i dont think 1.6 2.0 is legal, they only allow 25% increase in cc, if can i wont get a 1.6 mivec from 1.3 engine la brother...

dont talk about paying undertable money, its still not legal

my experience, mivec turbo cost you alot... because mine is mivec turbo.

at 1st i get a mivec halfcut and install it, change semi clutch and service almost things, cost me more than 10k already

get a ems cost me 2.2k

install the turbo kit and cost me almost 5k

what you think?

1.6- 2.0 is legal just need the owner himself go register thats. runner go direct fail.
my friend just register a wira VR4 from 1.6 engine..

no dyno done yet, now run used to be at .9 bar with thai wastegate, changed wg to tial, now at .5

1.6L to 2.0L is LEGAL. Car MUST go for inspection. :)
1300cc (just an assumption) x 1.25 = 1625cc.
obviously u dont have other choice than a 1.6L

so do u mind tel me how is the activations ? im not wrong turbo 1st and 2nd mivec kicks in right ? So at wat rpm both kicks in ? and other interstin detals pls pls !

There's no turbo and mivec separate kicks in if u bolt on turbo on mivec by using Microtech. Mivec lift together kicks in 2getha with turbo. If u really wanna bolt turbo on mivec get ready around 12-15k budget should be enuf .....

let say if you activate your mivec means with a td04 kick in at 2.5k rpm with mivec, your car will scream like hell and you will suffer in higher RPM.

for my setting, mivec open as stock 5-5.5k rpm... so with this i enjoy boost come at 2.5k and all the way i still can rev up to 7k, after 7k will no feel at all... ofcause the g feel wont that much at high rpm

Isn't mivec original don hav turbo?

In my knowledge the mivec doesn't combine wif turbo,rite??

mivec and turbo is diff..
mivec is NA(natural aspirated)
turbo is turbo aspirated..
and it doesnt combine together in stock..

1.6-2.0cc upgrade is for those old days only bro,now u try n ask for it see what answer u get.

where does yur friend do the inspection?what procedure need to do?can share some info,i got couple of friends facing this prob......all also stuck in the middle due to 1.6-2.0 prob.

it is legal man from 1.6 – 2.0…illegal for 1.3 to 2.0…..for me im using waja mivec 1.6 …damn its ok already la…because 1.6 can get 175hp enough la…I think GSR-T 205hp if I don’t mistaken la…so just modify ur mivec 1.6 la…change the things inside the engine…to more branded n use 1.8 piston block n so on…sure can cucuk GSRT…just spend abit more la…better than spend on turbo cars…maintain a turbo car nor easy n lot of money ….. not only mivec-T but also GSR-T….but now I regret la…I getter buy lancer n modify …because its 4WD can utilize full hp of mivec…waja cant because its FWD….so now im looking for lancer 1.6 movec ori car….year 1996 one…pls PM me if anyone got details about this car… :D thanx

hei harga minyak dah naik la….sure wanna change engine huh :D
