Finaly Jon, u resgistred, i has thinking why u no registrial, beacause u got this MR2 early than me half year ago, just pai say to ask u. hey bro ! thank for help of bring the bumper bar from KL to JB (faster than DHL, City Link.....:biggrin:) Own u one! Keep trying to find & commune our JB MR2 kaki bro! ...:listen:

Bavarian: Well, basically you want to find a unit that has little or no accident to the chassis. Everything else can be repaired. The car is around the 20 yr old mark so wear N tear parts need attention.

Midship: I found a 93 turbo GT model with leather interior and T top roof. I took it for a test drive and it felt fine but i'm wondering if there are anything i should be wary about mechanically wise? The car's body seem fine, no major accidents or serious rust that i can see off.

By the way could you recommend me a place to service/check up the mr2? I'm in the kl area btw

I've booked my car and i expect to get it in 2 weeks+ :love:

Well... as I said earlier, a car of this age shall require attention to wear N tear parts such as links, bushings, steering rack, belts etc... Basically plastics and rubbers are the bulk of the replacement list that you should make and you can visit Wing Hin to order new parts.

As for shops that are familliar with the MR2, best other members here make suggestions since I am not so in-the-scene anymore

Another week more till i get my MR2

its actually a year 91 model with a T bar roof and i guess the turbo 3s gte with 220hp. Would have been nice if i could find a clean 245 version but i don't mind my 91. Interior is clean and well maintained and it has a brilliant audio system, reverse cam etc

Yeah, you will be hard pressed to find an original 245 unit, I think I may have only come across less than a handful so far
