Yup, even in PJ old town, hawker center tai chow now RM7 for normal dishes like fried noodles and fried rice. The shops tai chow base now is RM7.50 to RM10 depending on the dishes ordered....
Tough when people want cheap and good right? I know its damn tedious, especially the prep work. Cool, now I know there's a guy here to go to if we need to re-spray the car.Bro..I run a paint shop in Sri kembangan n honestly there is no such thing as cheap but good quality..reason being in paint different choice of materials used means different costs..low/in house brand material means low costs whereas if u choose branded n already renowned/proven means a more higher costs..eg. u can get a 1k job but after some time d paint faulty OR a 2k job n d paint lasts at least 5 yrs...apart from that it depends on d condition of ur car..more work (rust job, body knocking etc) means more costs..n so on n so forth..
Hehe look at his fb page, the workmanship looks good :proud:Tough when people want cheap and good right? I know its damn tedious, especially the prep work. Cool, now I know there's a guy here to go to if we need to re-spray the car.
Haha lol yeah I remember (I keep all inquiries on record)...been sometime dude but x worries just buzz me anytime at all...n thanx for d compliments..of coz I will try do my level best to provide a satisfactory (if x perfect) results..Hehe look at his fb page, the workmanship looks good :proud:
BTW faidik remember me ahh?? Pm you b4 but plans to paint have been..... Delayed.......
True bro it is tough especially when they x realize that d process is x as simple as just sanding, puttying n respraying...a lot more is put into consideration...
Product cost sure have to past the GST to customer, but can save on workmanship gst.....lolTrue true but in my case materials like paint, lacquer, thinner etc etc got gst but I have to absorb that in my costs or else I'll have to charge higher which I x afford to do since got soo many paint shops, legal n otherwise,to pick n choose from...in other words competition is very stiff..what I can absorb I'll absorb just to bring d price to a more manageable n suitable wiz each customer..
Haaaaaa that's y la I'm (we) always hands-on working on my customers cars..:) just 2 of us working on d car (me n my colleague)..so if anything customer come straight to me..x lepas2 tangan bizI have seen a few paint shops that employed Bangla. The bangla weren't supervised of their prep work, suka-suka chatting away while doing prep work. The boss pulak always away.
I definitely don't wanna to have my car to be the white mice for the bangla to learn their trail and error.
hehe when my car is due for painting, will definitely datang and see you for some consultation 1stHaaaaaa that's y la I'm (we) always hands-on working on my customers cars..:) just 2 of us working on d car (me n my colleague)..so if anything customer come straight to me..x lepas2 tangan biz

*but memanglah from the work you posted on your fb page, it looks good* slightly wavy panels pun i see you can betulkan
Business nowadays in tough, Cheap price don't make money also cannot survive. High price no customer also cannot survive....Hehe I try x to pass..like I said lots of competition..even just few blocks from my place got 2 paint shops..one mmg I know charge a bit expensive but he lets his son spray..d other one charge crazee murah..an easily 1k++ job done for less then that..but quality of workmanship n d products they use I donno la..bangla workers...n that's only directly near my place..there r lots more in that particular area so one way to try beat d competition is:
- try give a good price
- maintain quality workmanship d best I can do..
you are right, bro.
Yes sure do..if x turn engine (which is d norm) will try to cover as much as possible...it wld cover tho x completely but I wld say most visible areas...if turn engine of coz much easier n nicerbro fazidk can you do engine bay paint job ? xpayh trn engine, i here nowadays many paint shop can do it.
Wha got member here who can do car painting! Next time I'll pm you if need to repaint something, and give us nice discounts ya. I may want to repaint my rims.
Ok bro sure...take ur example a MYVI ya..duration depends on whether:Bro fazidk... Just for layman understanding. Let's say spraying a car the size of Myvi, how long does it take end to end including prep work, and roughly how much assuming using quality paint such as Glasurit?
Ballpark ~RM? Just to get an idea. I am really asking for fun, to get an indication. Let's assume same color.Ok bro sure...take ur example a MYVI ya..duration depends on whether:
- u wanna spray external only (same color) OR inside out (change color)
- condition of d body
- type of paint eg. Solid/metallic or pearl or crystal etc etc
- duration range from 1 week onwards (depending on d above)
- price depends on d 1st 2 points above
Pm or whatsapp (019-3097725) for more info bro
If it's true I've certainly x heard or seen it..however I think AIKKA brand if x mistaken got water based..never used it before tho so x commentMy understanding from last time talking to the Glasurit HQ in South Africa, Glasurit is moving away from oil based paints and going into water based paints which is significantly cheaper than oil. Isn't this true here in Malaysia?
