Honda Integra Type R DC2

Dear all,

Asking on behalf a friend, he has a DC2 ITR (Original) 98 Spec. Lovely machine which he bought with cash from another owner 5 years ago ago. Now he has some issues with the lower arm as it's making noises.

Q1 He wants to know whether can he still get new FRONT lower arm bar in Malaysia. It's a 15 years old car btw.

Q2 He also happen to heard from some ITR owners said DC5 parts are interchangeable with DC2. This is actually my interest to know ... Anyone can clarify?

wat kinda noises? have the bushings been checked? if its just the bushings, itll be a good idea to get them changed... instead of the entire arm. brand new bushings are easily available.

but if its the arm itself that really needs changing coz of bent/cracked etc etc... and he insists on brand new... contact these honda stockists

but if ur friend doesnt mind used... contact Jebon71 in sri muda shah alam....id recommend this route for ur friend as well as for future needs.. he only brings in type r parts/halfcuts... so he should have everything ur friend needs/wants.


AFAIK DC5 parts are interchangeable with Civic ES.. and DC2 parts are interchangeable with Civic EG... never heard of DC5 and DC2 being interchangeable before.

Thanks man, great info you provided ! He insist to change the arm entirely, sadly, he also insisted on new one. Sorry man ... The car is quite nicely built, good street driving machine that can whack corners decently ... I shall let him know not to worry as his car's parts are still widely available ...

I have hard rubber bushing for DC2R
either in lose form or complete set.
