It is not unusual for car companies to create special editions at their anniversary. Next year, Ferrari will toss out exactly 70 limited edition designs for each of their 5 models in the current lineup, making it a merry 350 models in total. The plan is to celebrate Ferrari's turning 70 next year.

Not much is known at the moment, as Ferrari is expected to reveal more details at the Paris Auto Show in October, but the grapevine is predicting that each model will feature exclusive features mainly on cosmetic aspect only.

The 5 models reportedly to receive special edition treatment are the 488 GTB, 488 Spider, California T convertibles, GTC4 Lusso shooting brake and F12 Berlinetta coupes.

The 70 designs will be based on the historic and iconic Ferraris of the past, probably inspired by limited-run editions or the winning of F1 and GT racing series.

Interestingly though, Ferrari chairman, Sergio Machionne states that designing 70 unique limited editions is not that hard, the hardest part is now handpick customers that would ultimately get their hands on each of the examples.

Turning down millionaires, yup that sounds hard enough.

Apart from the 70th anniversary limited edition, this 2016's Paris Auto Show is also expected to set stage for Ferrari to debut the convertible edition of the LaFerrari hybrid supercar. It will get the same 963hp as the LaFerrari coupe, minus the roof, but with driving joy added.
