Any of you guys here watch Top Gear? If you do, then surely you must be more than familiar with those three guys’ crazy antiques and challenges that they put towards a car that sometimes does not even seem logical or relevant to a consumer in assisting them in choosing a vehicle, like for example, racing a Corvette with burning fuel to test its acceleration or even trying to outrun an Apache gunship in testing a Lotus’ agility. Crazy as it might be, it is very entertaining to watch. But in making these daring stunts will always have its risks, like how their Korean counterparts had experienced firsthand.

While filming an episode of Top Gear Korea (yes, there is a Korean version of Top Gear), the crew utilized a retired AH-1 Cobra attack chopper as a camera platform to film a scene of a speeding Corvette in Coolidge Airport, Arizona. Everything was going well when suddenly, while banking to the right, the pilot lost control of the chopper and crashed into the ground from an altitude of about 60m.

This is not CGI, and no, this is not a part of the stunt. Luckily though, both the pilot and the co-pilot did not suffer any serious injuries, and were able to walk away from the accident. Early reports are saying that mechanical failure was to blame for this incident, but investigators are digging deeper to find the exact cause of it.

Hopefully this incident would not convince the Top Gear UK team to stop using some extreme techniques in filming their episodes, or else it will be a bit mundane from now on. We might also miss some great footage for future untested supercars like the Huayra or the Agera R, or even the F12.

You should never cry over spilled milk but Megan Fox’s wedding to that Z-grade actor is worth shedding some man tears for. However, milk on the floor doesn’t come with a V12 and Megan Fox might come with two shapely turbos of her own but they surely don’t run on 1.4-bars of boost.
