Hi, i dont wanna start another topic just for this but, what's the driffrence between a normal locknut compared to those so called Skyline/Nissan locknuts ? Isn't every locknuts out there the same ? And i cant use normal locknuts on my HCR32 ? Is it just for cosmetics or there's actually some use to it ?

(Rays TE37 here.)

Normal wheel nuts can be opened by anyone and manufacturers use these as OEM.

I've used both Rays and Nismo locknuts and the only difference as far as I can tell is that the Rays has one locknut for each wheel meaning only 4 out of 20 nuts are locknuts.

Nismo's locknuts mean that every single nut on each tyre (all 20) are locknuts and you need to use the 'key' for all nuts.

Does that help?

The threading is different. Nissan uses 1.25. Btw, those don't look like originals to me.

Ah, yeah they're not original's. Im just taking them for comparisions hehe =)

Actually, the main reason for me asking this is, what if i dont use 1.25 Size ? It wont fit ? Or what's the side-effects ?

KL
i noticed all the problems you face while trying to maintain a skyline tends to disappear when you gun the throttle full forward on an empty road.
Well said. The bigger the thrill, the BIGGER the hassle, no?
