I just pick up my trek today with a TD05hr and FMIC. feels a lot of turbo lag and a very soft boost kick. it is only feel "alive" at 4000rpm above. will get injector and tuning ASAP.

but what i do like right now is that there's no loss of power above 5000 rpm. it is still kicking till 7000 rpm.

Bro, Even if before ECU tuning, my car was pretty good in terms of performance when turbo kicks in. Yes, there's turbo lag but when boost spools, it was a big difference compared to TD04. It pulls so strong and g-force was great. It was boosting 1.0 bar.

I think something is not right, please send it back to check.

yup ur rite.. will get it to check. i think maybe the manifold not tighten enuf or the intercooler pipes has minor leaking..

that was after or before change to 560cc injector?

It was BEFORE injector upgrade. But when I installed TD05 + FMIC, I also added adjustable fuel regulator and increase the fuel pressure. What is your boost level now? Before TD05 and after TD05, what's the boost level?

before TD05 it was 1.1 bar. after TD05 it is around 1 bar. but it takes rpm at around 4000 to 4500 to get 1 bar of boost. i did feels like something wrong.

Is yr exhaust fully modded? I mean decat + sports muffler? Hmm... send it to check and see how. I was using TD05 + FMIC for quite some time before I sent it for dyno tune + injector upgrade + fuel pump upgrade. It was OKAY and speed above 160 climbs a lot faster to 200 mark as comapred to stock TD04. FC was about the same too.

Sud be sufficient for your TD05 now. Check your intercooler piping, maybe there's a leak especially the silicon joints. Is the intercooler new? Check if there's any damage too.

its a new cheap intercooler.. i think maybe its the manifold not tight enough or some pipes leaking.. i'll get it check ASAP bro. thanks for the concern.. will update some post soon... :biggrin:

bro, what injector would u suggest? evo 560cc or sti pinks? which one have the least problem and lower cost of installation?

Not sure about the cost but AC motorsports told me pink actual max around 500cc though it rated 550cc. Evo 9 is true 560. Pink is cheaper.

well pinks are same high ohm injector while evo are low ohm. heard that pinks are a direct clip on since the socket are the same shape. while evo are abit longer body and need to wired its own socket which means it need some modification to install.

Yes in a way cos with the right mapping, car revs up faster hence increasing the response n boost building faster.

yup, ur rite.. different turbo different a/f mapping different power curve.. last night there was vacuum hose not connected. feels abit better now. no wonder the boost jumping up n down yesterday. i bought a GTA turbo and i am hoping to get faster response from other TD05hr. can i tune to get full boost before 4000 rpm? is it achieveable?
